that is a shit ton of work for just to grow 1 baby plant, ever though about like a 6 ft tall cabinet? cuz a plant grown in that thing can't be that big. i smoke about 3 grams a day on average with friends, and by the time you have the buds to smoke, roughly 3 months would pass. so 3 grams a day for 3 months is like 9.65 ounces, so for the heavy smokers, upsize.
why the hell do you bother about the unwanted light coming out and how it looks like a regular endtable, when it will sound like jet turbines 24/7. and later it will smell through all the house. Better make sound isolation and put carbon filters.
jus quick question if i was to grow jus a small plant would i be able to grow it indoors under lamp and then when it gets too big for indoors put it outdoors somewhere (in uk btw)

I remember the time and trouble it took you to drill those 2" holes with that funny looking drill-bit. Seems like a waste of time drilling a 2" hole now, seeing it's for 1 cable. The finished product sound like it can take off. Maybe you should sell them with a safety warning; Alway place heavy object on bedside table before switching on. Maybe this as a selling point; Can be used as a alarm clock, get woken up by the sound of a jet engine each morning.lol I'm just teasing. Good luck with it.

you worked so hard to make the inside of your box to reflect as much light as possible on your plants but then left the fan boxes uncovered black. you should have alum. taped all black in the box (wires, air boxes, etc.). you just defeated the hole reason of the mylar. just thought you would like to know! :) i am looking forward to building one of these! thanks for the videos!

Its for "medical" use =), but i understand that they need about 18 hours of sunlight when they are growing, then after about 12hours. If I was building em I would install a Fan control on it .. it would help out a lot .. an maybe use a actual computer Power Supply so the fans are not running like crazy . And also use ball bearing fans .. for smoother ventilation ... just my opinion ;)
Only design flaw I see is wiring your fans to your lights. When you set your light cycles (18/6, 12/12) or whatever with a timer, everytime the lights turn off , the fans also shut off. Now this is not an ideal situation for growing because you're going to want fresh air cycling through your box at all times. Oh and also the size ofcourse, but the same design could be used in a bigger enclosure.
As I watched these videos, I was surprised by the amount of idiots commenting negatively, but in the end, it's very complete and informative. Ignore the idiots, it's not their fault they've been inbred. Focus on the people that are able to appreciate and gain knowledge from it, not the internet warriors.
It's a bit small for my liking, but easy to adapt to a larger size. I'd also omit the light trap for a carbon filter, but under different circumstances this set up is good.

@IxLovexDelilah Because the air is moving constantly it does not smell too badly, however I would recommend one of those 6- month deodorizers to be safe. It's the harvesting that really smells.

@websurfd5 dude u can use cfls for a small grow like this. Hps or mh lights wld creat too much heat for such a small cabinetnot to mention the ballast obviously cldnt fit inside, wld create even more heat and also make noise. The point of this is stealth, not to grow enough for a dispensary. And as far as clolor spectrum... Do u even kno the main color the sun puts out? Green, look it up. Plants dont ONLY use red and blue, its just that the sun puts out very low amounts of red and blue so plant
ok so ive watched all 24 videos and i c some thing that are kinda messed up on a couple things like wiring the fans to the same power cord as your lights now u cant put them on a light schedule for flowering cause the fans will shut off n looks like that intake trap is a lil to long and dosnt give enough room for the air to flow but nice box
All this work and you use CFL's????? How stupid. If you want optimum results you use HPS. A VERY SIMPLE fundamental of growing. WHY DON'T PEOPLE GET IT??? HPS light has the proper colors of the spectrum. CFLs have the wrong colors, thus producing inferior quality. What part of this don't people understand???
A good, raid-safe growbox cant be silent, because that would mean that you don't have a strong fan, that would mean that you don't have a activated carbon filter and that would mean that your home will smell after cannabis like shit.
And then the DEA will come and bust you, because someone, like the mailman smelt your grow and called the cops. Think twice before you start growing, read a lot, understand, make a plan and go!
U will have a Problem with odor, with heat, with stealthness
1) You need a activated carbon filter togehter with a radial fan appropriate to the filter (cfm)
2) Intake should be as low a possible and as far away from the filter as possible, if you use a strong enough fan u just need to drill holes twice as big as the fan's connection size.
3) Fan should be in a massive box and mounted that no vibration can be transferd to the box and get some 'Sonodec' appropriate to the fan connection size
i just went out and bought some PC fans from a company called "Stealth" and these fans are noiseless. So for all you guys complaining about the noise just buy some nice noiseless PC fans.
I would be concerned about the light box not being made out of heat resistant material. CFL's don't generate much heat but I would be concerned about the total current draw on that exentsion cord exceeding it's rating and getting hot. At minimum upgrade to a multi-strip with a circuit breaker. Safety first. Wire nuts as noted are a must. Overall I enjoyed the series and gained a lot of good ideas for my own cabinet. Good Job
just move to california and get your medical marijuana card and grow fat ass plants outdoors or use a whole closet or use a mylar tent...its a nice little grow box im sure it would be good for clones

Like seriously what could you grow in this? The only thing I could think you would want to is Mary Jane. But she wouldnt fit. Beyond that the box isnt too stealthy with the fans. They are noisy as hell. Although, I could see building one out of a Generator box or a/c condenser but I wouldnt want to grow outdoors.

This grow "box" literally has no room whatsoever to grow any significant plant of any kind. If would much more helpful if you did one of these videos using a dresser or armoire. If I have a box for my veggies (18L x 14W x 22H, in inches) would a 150w HPS with a homemade cooltube setup be too much heat for such a small area? If so, how bout 100w or 70w? I have the cabinet setup for 4 x 120mm intakes and one exhaust. Thank you for you time.
This is great work, but i think it would be better to take a larger cabinette for a growbox. Because ther must be room for the plant, a watering system and a carbon air filter.
Just because the fans used in the box are a little loud, does not me that quieter fans don't exist. I use 21dbl 78 cfm fans im most of my boxes not. Much quieter
Not knocking your creation at all here bro, as the workmanship seems of good quality, but what size plants/harvest are you talking with this thing maxed out? Two twelve inch plants with minimal branching, maybe one ounce per of dried flowers?
And you should really be using a textured (hammered) reflective material instead of what you're showing here. As is, the reflectivity will be more specular when actually a diffuse pattern would be more desirable/productive.

Do you have any vids or connect us with vids of the box in use? I think a lit of people would like to see what a talented person could expect to achieve with this setup. Also, have you taken into account odor filtration? What would you recommend for that? I thought activated carbon filters that could be installed in the out supply light trap so that air flows through the filter before it exits the box.
i thought those fans were meant to run on a 12V computer power source. aren't they going to burn out really fast if you wire them straight to a 160V outlet???
Use wire nuts lol, Wire the fans to a dimmer switch (5$) then straight to the power the lights get..Leaving the Full 3 sockets on the ext. cord for the customer to use, Tape up the fan wires in the corner of the box under the metal tape out of the way.. routing them cleanly out of sight, Activated carbon is pretty cheap and would be a nice addition to find a way to make a air scrubber,metal tape the light traps totally so no black shows ..Great Home Business I envy It (in a good way)

It is a nice business.I may not be doing it for too much longer. Well it is not that I won't be doing it at all, but i have got involved in another home business that looks like it is going to make me much more money than these boxes. If it works out that way my prices will have to go up to free up my time. Each box takes so much time.If this other money continues to roll in ill have to make much more on each box to make it worth the time.
I understand that these are not the normal fans, but if I where to use these could I install a power control knob in the fan cord to control speed?

And u cld grow plenty in this cabinet unless ur tryin to be Boston George. Guys cmon, hes built a lot of these u think he has never used one?? Iv grown in plastic red cups taking clones in rockwool and transplanting after 12-14 days to soil in the cups. Takes 45-50 days after tht to flower. From the looks of this u cld fit 10-14 cups in there easy. Maybe u guys worried about quantity shld google the terms: topping, LST, supercropping, and sea of green. @websurfd5 dude u can use cfls for a small grow like this. Hps or mh lights wld creat too much heat for such a small cabinetnot to mention the ballast obviously cldnt fit inside, wld create even more heat and also make noise. The point of this is stealth, not to grow enough for a dispensary. And as far as clolor spectrum... Do u even kno the main color the sun puts out? Green, look it up. Plants dont ONLY use red and blue, its just that the sun puts out very low amounts of red and blue so plant

ok so ive watched all 24 videos and i c some thing that are kinda messed up on a couple things like wiring the fans to the same power cord as your lights now u cant put them on a light schedule for flowering cause the fans will shut off n looks like that intake trap is a lil to long and dosnt give enough room for the air to flow but nice box

All this work and you use CFL's????? How stupid. If you want optimum results you use HPS. A VERY SIMPLE fundamental of growing. WHY DON'T PEOPLE GET IT??? HPS light has the proper colors of the spectrum. CFLs have the wrong colors, thus producing inferior quality. What part of this don't people understand???

A good, raid-safe growbox cant be silent, because that would mean that you don't have a strong fan, that would mean that you don't have a activated carbon filter and that would mean that your home will smell after cannabis like shit.
And then the DEA will come and bust you, because someone, like the mailman smelt your grow and called the cops. Think twice before you start growing, read a lot, understand, make a plan and go!

U will have a Problem with odor, with heat, with stealthness
1) You need a activated carbon filter togehter with a radial fan appropriate to the filter (cfm)
2) Intake should be as low a possible and as far away from the filter as possible, if you use a strong enough fan u just need to drill holes twice as big as the fan's connection size.
3) Fan should be in a massive box and mounted that no vibration can be transferd to the box and get some 'Sonodec' appropriate to the fan connection size

i just went out and bought some PC fans from a company called "Stealth" and these fans are noiseless. So for all you guys complaining about the noise just buy some nice noiseless PC fans.

I would be concerned about the light box not being made out of heat resistant material. CFL's don't generate much heat but I would be concerned about the total current draw on that exentsion cord exceeding it's rating and getting hot. At minimum upgrade to a multi-strip with a circuit breaker. Safety first. Wire nuts as noted are a must. Overall I enjoyed the series and gained a lot of good ideas for my own cabinet. Good Job

Like seriously what could you grow in this? The only thing I could think you would want to is Mary Jane. But she wouldnt fit. Beyond that the box isnt too stealthy with the fans. They are noisy as hell. Although, I could see building one out of a Generator box or a/c condenser but I wouldnt want to grow outdoors.

While i applaud you for showing one how to build something like this as you genuinely seem to want to help people. But seriously, what is the point of this small side table? This grow "box" literally has no room whatsoever to grow any significant plant of any kind. If would much more helpful if you did one of these videos using a dresser or armoire. You know peice of furniture that actually has legitimate area to actually grow a plant or two. Thanks again and keep fighting the good fight

If I have a box for my veggies (18L x 14W x 22H, in inches) would a 150w HPS with a homemade cooltube setup be too much heat for such a small area? If so, how bout 100w or 70w? I have the cabinet setup for 4 x 120mm intakes and one exhaust. Thank you for you time.

This is great work, but i think it would be better to take a larger cabinette for a growbox. Because ther must be room for the plant, a watering system and a carbon air filter.

Not knocking your creation at all here bro, as the workmanship seems of good quality, but what size plants/harvest are you talking with this thing maxed out? Two twelve inch plants with minimal branching, maybe one ounce per of dried flowers?
And you should really be using a textured (hammered) reflective material instead of what you're showing here. As is, the reflectivity will be more specular when actually a diffuse pattern would be more desirable/productive.

Do you have any vids or connect us with vids of the box in use? I think a lit of people would like to see what a talented person could expect to achieve with this setup. Also, have you taken into account odor filtration? What would you recommend for that? I thought activated carbon filters that could be installed in the out supply light trap so that air flows through the filter before it exits the box.

if the fans are wired to the lights and the lights are set on a 12/12 timer - doesnt that mean the fans will turn off as well?

Use wire nuts lol, Wire the fans to a dimmer switch (5$) then straight to the power the lights get..Leaving the Full 3 sockets on the ext. cord for the customer to use, Tape up the fan wires in the corner of the box under the metal tape out of the way.. routing them cleanly out of sight, Activated carbon is pretty cheap and would be a nice addition to find a way to make a air scrubber,metal tape the light traps totally so no black shows ..Great Home Business I envy It (in a good way)

It is a nice business.I may not be doing it for too much longer. Well it is not that I won't be doing it at all, but i have got involved in another home business that looks like it is going to make me much more money than these boxes. If it works out that way my prices will have to go up to free up my time. Each box takes so much time.If this other money continues to roll in ill have to make much more on each box to make it worth the time.
