  • @domiselomi Comping 3D renders over live footage is not roto. It may involve roto, but as concepts they are distinct. To combine 3D and live footage, it may be better to render out of Maya in separate passes (diffuse, specular, occlusion, shadow, etc) and comp the 2D output over the footage in Nuke. If you have maya spit out a normals pass, you can also do relighting and whatnot....
