Even though not all of them won championships, they had all, one time or another, been at the top of their conferences. I do admit that none of these are 1 + 2 combos.

Kobe on the other hand, proved he can STILL go for 60 points (the Knicks game). He still is fairly athletic and his basketball IQ and skills let him score without having to bulldoze to the rim.

They can be more efficient, but if you want to do that on 35+ shot attempts, you need to have a consistent shooting range. You won't dunk your way through 70+ points.
Kobe already showed flashes of the elite footwork he has today back then at age what? 20-23? Something the so called 'best player' LeBron hasn't really showed and he's friggin 26 already. He's in his prime. In the next years, he might round-out his game, but athleticism is 80% of it and it will start to diminish.

Kobe started getting into his all-time prime around age 27-28. I'm not gonna hate on Kobe because he is a beast, but I won't really disregard LeBron. He can go for 15/24 or something easily, but the % will go down with more attempts. He has no post and consistent mid-range game.

Kobe's offensive awareness is great. He reads the defense very well, then has an arsenal of fakes, moves to fake the D out of their shoes and score. Another player that has this is maybe Paul Pierce? Pure skill. And Kobe can create for others, when he is willing to do so.

His clutch shots are often desperate because EVERYONE knows he's going to take those. He WANTS to, and doesn't give a flying fuck about the percentages or stats. Even though he deals with double/triple teams and great pressure, he still tops the leagues average, where in most cases, nobody knows who's gonna shoot it. I think being clutch is being able to create a makeable shot against in any kind circumstances and the balls to even take those. Few players qualify for this.

But in reality, on Carter and an aging Kidd were barelly carryign the Nets. I mean Jason Collins, Josh Boone, Kristic etc, werent much help at all. Most of the guys I mentioned, that entered the league in the late 90s, look at them now. LeBron, Wade are pretty one-dimensional as far as scoring goes, I can see Durant go for 60+, something James or Wade haven't done (and probably wont), but the 81 point mark will stand for a long time. Kobe on the other hand, proved he can STILL go for 60 points (the Knicks game). He still is fairly athletic and his basketball IQ and skills let him score without having to bulldoze to the rim.

@qyxzz all true, but he still has his ups and downs just like anyone else. there have been many times where he's tried to win the game for his team but couldn't knock down shots and ultimately only helped them lose. like i said, however, it is obvious that kobe bryants a great basketball player, just some people are prone to favor his individual ability over the lakers abilities as a team. he did win the allstar mvp, but the goal for them is to 3peat. i don't see that happening

They can be more efficient, but if you want to do that on 35+ shot attempts, you need to have a consistent shooting range. You won't dunk your way through 70+ points.
Kobe already showed flashes of the elite footwork he has today back then at age what? 20-23? Something the so called 'best player' LeBron hasn't really showed and he's friggin 26 already. He's in his prime. In the next years, he might round-out his game, but athleticism is 80% of it and it will start to diminish.

Kobe started getting into his all-time prime around age 27-28. I'm not gonna hate on Kobe because he is a beast, but I won't really disregard LeBron. I also don't believe Brons athleticism won't diminish by 80%. Just like Kobes hasn't diminished by 80%. They know how to keep themselves in prime condition. I think Dwade might fizzle out before LeBron.

I think thats the reason LeBron or Wade havent done it. LeBrons career high is what, 56? And I think he did that on a barrage of 3 pointers, which with his all-around shooting ability, wont happen too often lol. He can go for 15/24 or something easily, but the % will go down with more attempts. He has no post and consistent mid-range game.

I think LeBrons (offensive) game consists of some good ballhandling skills for his size, court vision, a pretty decent 3pt shot and thats about it. Besides this, he's playing off of an inhuman speed, strength, size, quickness and just brute force combination. Average footwork, no post game, pedestrian FT% for someone who gets that many attempts

He takes 3pt shots when they are tied or down only 2 instead of the smart play of driving in to get a closer shot, an AND1 situation, at least a foul or an open teammate. Kb has done this countless times. Even last year in the Finals Kb had 2 badly missed shots & Gasol put them back in to win the game.

Kobe's offensive awareness is great. He reads the defense very well, then has an arsenal of fakes, moves to fake the D out of their shoes and score. Another player that has this is maybe Paul Pierce? Pure skill. And Kobe can create for others, when he is willing to do so.

His clutch shots are often desperate because EVERYONE knows he's going to take those. He WANTS to, and doesn't give a flying fuck about the percentages or stats. Even though he deals with double/triple teams and great pressure, he still tops the leagues average, where in most cases, nobody knows who's gonna shoot it. I think being clutch is being able to create a makeable shot against in any kind circumstances and the balls to even take those. Few players qualify for this.

So when they play the worst defensive team in the league, they dont need to score much to win. They pretty much can sit out the game. MJ scored 35pts in a half in the playoffs and ended up sitting out most of the 2nd half. Why?! because the game was won & there was no need to risk injury.

@Lakers24pwnz his fg% is low because he takes bad shots. I guarantee every good shooter will make 99% of open shots -_-. Kobe is a good shooter but he's not great. VC is a better SHOOTER is what I meant.

@Curtis7414 kobe shot the three terrible this year and had a fg% of 45%. Thats BAD. Especially for a player like him. Who gives a shit on one game stuff like that. MJ made 6 in one half yet he wasn't a GREAT 3 point shooter.

@Curtis7414 Uhmm...VC holds the playoff record for most three-pointers in a game, with 9, so I guess that's his personal record. Kobe has 12 as far as I know. But VC did it in the playoffs.

vince carter is no doubt awesome , but kobe overall is alot better. vince carter is the best dunker of all time but kobe is in the list of the the top 5 greatest of all time in my opinion
