  • Is David on the right? Wonderful piece and performers

  • Sin palabras

  • Perfect coordination between them - every nuance of the piece accounted for and just flawlessly executed. The bond between father and son displayed at its very best.I've been endowed with six minutes of utter euphoric bliss.

  • Oh, what I wouldn't give to be there during the original recording. I'm sure it was unbelieveable!

  • Beautiful playing! Sure wish the video volume had been turned up higher as it seems so far away. Fine performance anyways, and thanks.

  • David Oistrahk its a G.O.D.

  • @penceylala WTF????

  • sin palabras!!! simplemente genial!

  • Another example of how the Spanish and Russian people share the same soul,.... Que linda!!!!

  • it is great

  • Wow! This is AMAZING!! I hope to be as good and valued as they are.. VERY impressive, Son and Father moment.

  • Father and son going abroad.....to Spain! Beautiful! So much joy that we can witness. That is what music is about......!

  • 3.07

  • Haha, like father, like son.

  • I am very happy that I learn violin first... I never think that I will like it so much!!!

  • I love violin whit all my soul

i'd love to play like this on my violin

  • technical and emotional perfection. Oistrakh forever.

  • this is very well planned playing. david, stands right, but plays the first violin.igor plays the second violin.

this high trill, by 3:06 is very hard to meet by two everytime. but they manage to screw the trill as exactly as it should be. the same is by 3:50-4:14, the trills are are by botuh violins is the same. it is very hard to play like this. it is also not important to be good alone, this should be practiced till being fainted. shortly : bravo!!!

  • Yes, also left hand pizzicato 5:09-5:20 is not as easy as it looks :)

  • O , O

  • The green screen looks old fashionned, the piano sounds old fashionned, the moving of camera is old fashionned, yes. But the violins sound looks so modern, the esthetic is so up-to-date... Oistrakh had half a century foward. Fantastic !

  • its like watching david oistrakh and his clone play violin ......creepy

  • it's not an octave

  • the only think i thhink that was different between father and son was timing of there shifts at one part

  • fantastisch!!!

  • GREEN ..................... scary

  • F**K!!

Wonderful! This duo is so well achieved!

  • Spanish "furia". Bravo!

  • excellent - loved it.

such synchronisity down to the harmonics and the bowing action!

  • Vado da Navarra...

  • oh my, their playing is almost exactly identical! amazing!

  • What an amazing synchrony!

  • perfect Soviet discipline.

  • Extremely beautiful!

    Thank you!!

  • true classic...... DAVID AND IGOR OISTRAKH are my idols they rock!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Does anyone have the notes of this or a link where i could get them please..? Wonderful performance !!!!

  • You could probably order the sheet music from Foyles book shop in London. they have a large music section.

  • In fact, I have just checked. They have Navarra, price £8.99..

  • Brilliant and very expressive. Thanks.

  • So niiiice! :-)

  • Wow, incredible!

  • Yes. But I am wondering who would have played this piece with Sarasate. The only violinist who could have approached him at that time was Sauret, as far as I know.

  • wow lol cool

is this piece originally for 2 violins though?

  • yep it is orginially for two violins

  • Not my favourite Sarasate piece (although Sarasate himself is certainly one of my favourites). But this is the best performance I have heard. Hypnotic.

  • Yes, very good with the legenday Oistrakh precision. Equally exciting is Aaron Rosand's recording (playing both parts) with absolute control and possibly superior understanding of the "Navarra" mood.

  • oh my %$·/ god.

  • Crazy pairs...

How can I play like them...

    Tell me...

  • go back in time, hand yourself a violin when your 3 and tell yourself that you must practice 12 hours a day forever and dedicate the rest of your life the understand and love of classical music

  • if that would make me another oistrakh,i would like to do that.

  • well everyone would love to do that but actually haveing the discipline to make yourself practice for that long is crazier than it sounds

  • haha taht was great. i was intoxicated with this that i could hardly breathe when they were performing

  • maravilloso

  • Amazing! Thanks for posting.

  • OMG

  • ningfengviolin, thank you for sharing this treasure.

  • Exellent performance!

  • incredible, how did you get this???
