That means a different silhouette. Mens fahion sometimes became boring or excentric-slobbery or very classic and that was a bit boring. But when I saw his stuff first at yves saint laurent and later at dior I thought now you have to get slim because there you can be a customer, thats for you. I think thats a healthy discipline, i had the feeling theres something new, a new tone.

Im always in search of a special movement, a special way to wear clothes. The most difficult thing is to find the right proportion.

(German guy:) In my case, i saw hedi slimane on the street when i was taking my dog for a walk. He first looked at my dog and than at me. Fist a was a little skeptical but then I heard other people did the same and yeah. He instantly took pictures of me and that was it.

Every single model has a special ranking and i like it when you really just see them on this show and nowhere else. These models embody a very special type and have a clearly defined style. The agencys have a part of the casting, about 40%, sometimes less. The rest of the models can be from berlin or somewhere else. Here there are now a few guys from london that I spotted by chance when I walked through record shops and places like that. You can spot people everywhere.

I prepare everything very early, Im not the person that makes things at the elevneth hour. Like that, everything is relaxed and there is no stress. My co-workers and the models are very nice and accessible, there are no problems at all.

Some boys come from agencys and its often their fist show. Have they been on a catewalk before than only for dior homme. They run exclusively for us.

We always mandate a band to have our own soundtrack. I dont like a mix of already existing things. Therefore I asked friends, the band phoenix, to play the music.

The photos are a guideline for me. By that, I can trace back my producing excactly. I dont keep clothes, I dont archive them. When the ??? is over, i forget about them. Then i proceed to something new. The casting and set on the other side i like to archive, therefore i take pictures of it.

I can not imagine fashion without movement. The fitting, the daily work goes on in movement.

I think there is always a rhtyhm that determines a season. Music sets the tone. It plays a big role in fashion design because it connects the pieces of clothing artistically.

The locations light and design I prepare a long time beforehand.
