I don't agree with his statement on it only being for blacks...cause when u break it down, white people can have just as much melanin as blacks considering that the races have been so mixed over the years.

@GHETTOSHAMAN You are completely neglecting one fact here: The human body uses melanin to DISIPATE UV energy as heat not "absorb and store it"

The body has NO MECHANISM FOR TURNING HEAT INTO MECHANICAL ENERGY! QUITE THE OPPOSITE! The body is constantly trying to DISIPATE heat by sweating, vasodilation, etc, in order to allow optimum cellular performance.

You, as a black person, are not "storing energy" because you're black. In fact you probably RELEASE more heat than a white person, right?

@amante7777 That's somewhat true depending on how recent a "white" person had a black ancestor or black ancestors. If they don't have a black ancestor within their family by more than 4 generations, then the black genes don't count. It takes 4 generations (just like how you have 4 seasons) to purify your genes.

@ddenniscoleman3 That's interesting, I didn't know that you could breed out a specific gene. More importantly, I didn't know that there was a "black" or "white" (race) gene... For some reason I assumed that once something was introduced into the gene pool of a species that it could not be removed regardless of how many generations of melanin-dominate individuals interbreed with one another.
