  • i love this

Schaamte.

  • Amazing! In the restaurant where I work, she sings a song called 'any day now', and it's sublime!! I can't find it anywhere!

  • Amazing!

  • This girl definitely has something. Reason she's a big star in Holland. She can definitely sing - seems effortless for her.

  • Trijntje rulez and so does Burt!!

  • love!

  • I love Burt Bacharach!

Too bad Trijntje is too much of a show-off, (so she reminds me of 80's 90's Whitney Houston). She definitely can't compete with the original singers! The orchestra is good though!

  • Wow this is awesome!

  • These guy's almost outfunk the funkbrothers.

  • Is trijntje niet geweldig?

  • Haha OK YZippy got ya. Well tell Burt Bacharach when you see him to put a good word in and pull a few strings, push a few buttons in Atlanta, Ga/USA?!

  • MERAVIGLIOSAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • She is fabulous! I love the swagger in the orchestra too, I just found these clips, and I'm knocked out!

  • Yeah. I found this about 9 months ago and was blown away. THe Metropole Orchestra is amazing. Great stuff. Wish they'd tour the United States

  • I LOVE YOU

  • I agree with your comment! It was a live performance in the most popular early evening talk/entertainment show DWWDD on dutch TV. Just before their official concert later that week. Honestly I think this gig was a little better. What do you mean with 'swagger'? The band sounds really great.

  • I think he means confidence. They are damn good and they know it. Actually they are great and they know it. I'd swagger too if I was this outfit. Fantastic. Now...just come to Atlanta, Ga. USA

  • She is just lovely and has the most amazing tone. This is a gorgeous video - thanks! Everyone who loves her should take a peek at her videos with Al Jarreau, and Raul Midon...

  • I love her rendition of "Anyone Who Had A Heart"

  • This performance is amazing :D Trijntje has an amazing voice :D!!! Especially 'Anyone who had a heart' is extremely beautiful :D

  • .. and Bacharach still rocks over this years. What a groove of the best Metropole of the WORLD!

  • Her voice always makes my skin crawl..

  • Wow.. I don't know where she's from but what a voice. She totally does justice to Mr. Bacharach's music. I

  • She's Dutch (from Holland), and we, the Dutch, are very proud of her!

  • You should be. She and the orchestra are fantastic. USA.

  • Trijntje.. If I see you walking dowm the street, forgive me if you just give you a hug. Here's to the Metropole Orkest and you to 'blow new life' (pardon de Dutch) into these Bacharach (and Costello) masterpieces.

  • These are Bacharach and David songs - Elvis Costello had nothing to do with them. In fact, when they were written circa 1963/64 he was 9 or 10 years of age!

  • Right! All but one or two songs are Bacharach/David songs. Isn't "This House is Empty Now" is a Bacharach/Costello song from their excellent "Painted From Memory" album. Anne Sofie von Otter did a great version of the song as well (with Costello!).
