  • asoose lol

  • Gotta love the way you say asus

  • well your a idiot "out" there. because you need ESD tools and shit to build you own computer, thats the first thing you need to do..

nerds thinks they can everything, but they cant..

  • @Bonnis1992 Lol, i tried my best to understand what you're ranting on about, but really, you are an Idiot. It's called Sarcasm and i was referring to the number of each of my video. If you paid attention to my video, to get rid of that static in your body, you can touch a metal part of the tower to ground yourself. Anything else you want to bitch about? if you don't like it make a video of how to build your own computer instead of trying to look cool on youtube.

  • I also want to note which I doubt this guy will mention, the SATA headers shouldn't be located where they are on this board, ual Slot Graphics cards will get in there way.

  • Socket 939 guys isn't so bad, but it is the one Chipset i avoid in AMD afer reading about it. evenwhen this vid was published, this board wouldn't be on my list. In AMD history 939 is the year of the Intel POS

  • I couldn't watch past 1 Minute because your camera kept making that annoying scraping noise -.-

  • Really....Vista?....I would rather use windows 98 then that crap. Even in 2008 you should have used something better, like xp.

  • Dude ure way to violent with your hardware you shouldn't ever drop components that hard. LOL @ Vista I can't believe you showed that OS why not just drag out windows ME for your next video.

  • where did you buy the wires to connect everything i've been looking every where and can't find them

  • static electricity is overrated!

  • Razor case?

  • i watched all your vids and i want to make my own pc. for gaming and well basicly an all round good computer here is what i want to get for it

    -EVGA 01G-P3-1158-TR GeForce GTS 250 1GB 256-bit DDR3 PCI Express Video Card

-EVGA P55 LE 123-LF-E653-KR LGA1156 Intel P55 ATX Intel Motherboard

    -Intel Core i3-550 Clarkdale 3.2GHz 4MB Dual-Core Desktop Processor

-Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA

    -G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200)

    good?

  • It makes me cringe when I see you handling your motherboard like that. I know that its left over crap... but still.

  • that optionel conector is clear cmos ...

  • whats that intro song?

  • @killamixx fag......

  • I dont recommend slapping your motherboard.

  • ugly caseee

  • hey Chris whats that song in your intro

  • @killamixx

    Flyleaf - I'm So Sick

  • I like how you handle your parts, you must be the antistatic man.

  • where can i get all this stuff?

  • @redeyedcat66 A computer store!! Duh!

  • Newegg, TigerDirect, MWave, the list goes on...

  • i will be converting my very old compaq coomputer running windows 2000 to a gaming ing computer wirh new case and a better graphics card also running windows 7 64 bit . can you give me some good tips before i start.

  • research the hell out of your parts, my first build I bought a hardrive that was 8mb for speed when i could of got a 16mb... and my cpu was nearly non overclockable and slow. And i suggest amd- phenom II x3 or x4. and a am3 motherboard -msi is nice

  • @shalvin15 converting??? What exactly are you going to keep from the old computer? If it is that old... start fresh

  • i like that cooling on thenorth brige souther brige and chip brige

  • You know, i think i mention that i didn't have a power supply. Also, this is just 1 of many videos of how to build a computer. That's why in this title there is a Part 1. Also for the record, i am only one person, so i am an idiot not an idiots. Idiot.

  • @AaronTan1192 Don't hate,

    @chanman12345 Thanks for the video.

  • do you like rice?

  • Yes

  • @chanaman12345 u know hes making fun of u cuz ur asian right?

  • @imoncrackkk lmfao x'D srsly, lmfao sooo fucking hard x'D /cries a little

  • why would you say 600W minimum on power supply? especially back in '08? I am still running on 400. about to get new good one that has 500w.

  • Someone isnt worried about ESD 1:37

  • great video man i have a question can u upgrade a a computer u get from a retail store

  • @MrOteb89 sure, just look up what can be installed on your mobo, and buy the parts and do a lil swapping.dont know your mobo?download CPU-Z and it'll tell you,as well as your cpu and ram

  • @TheBlueMnM

If your chip was exposed then yes.

  • depends on your motherboard, most mid tower cases will fit any motherboard. tower cases will fit anything you can dish out.

  • will any motherboard fit in any case ?

  • Most cases fit all Mother Boards, but some cases dont.

  • So! my Heat Sink fan fell off!! so would that explain why my other computer will beep 3 times and turn off by itself?

  • what the song, please (:

  • I'm So Sick; Fly Leaf (i think)

  • Tanks ;)

  • no we didn't

we do not need a case to build a computer.

  • House keeping!!! I come in?

  • no shit how can you be so smart looooooo

  • when i get enough money im gonna do it. cept im gonna install windows 7 instead of vista. i love vista but my dad likes xp but we both like windows 7

  • vista is shit

  • Why do you need a case? Can't it be mounted on the wall like that Star War or NASA stuff, I hear a fish tank is okay?

  • er... you don't need a case....

We ppl do use it coz we want to keep away from the 3k Rpm spinning -.-

u wanna die fast try putting in in the fish tank...

  • water cooling expensive solution ^_^

  • me yelling ASIAN you yelling WHERE

  • this guy is a filipino wooohoho correct me if im wrong wooohohohoho

  • Dude, what country are you from?

  • thingy mabobber..haha

  • Holy Shit Thats SLOW.

  • who gives a shit about fancy boxes. BUHAHAHAHAHHA LOL that made my day

  • apparently if you get 6gb worth of ram, then vista 32 bit only allows upto 4gb of it being used yet the 64 bit allows allof it to be used.

  • who gives a shit about fancy boxes............. also......get a 64 bit cpu fuka

  • thank god you cleaned your room!

    is that your room? xD

im kidding, i like ur videos

  • chris, you look like youve lost some weight from this video to your more recent videos :D

  • It go *Poo*

I lol'd at that! (The way you said it)

Actually, these computer parts are pretty sturdy. You don't need to be gentle or "gental" with them really. Ya, be careful, but you don't need to act like they're nuclear waste.. Nice guide! But the single core socket 939? Eh, hope you've upgraded by now.

  • Worst guide ever... be gental with them!

  • Well i'm sorry to hear that. How bout you do one better? That sounds fair yeah?

  • you dont need the strap just put your arm on the metal case and you wont need the wrist band.

  • I like the fancy vista box totally worth the extra money.

  • What's the song called!? Pls reply!!!:-)

  • thats im so sick

    by flyleaf

  • your a bit rough with the parts arent you? lol

  • lol, a lil to rough, like he had a bad day with the items

  • he should have all his things under or still in the static protection packaging

  • but if you want to build a computer, you might want getting better pieces..

  • Is it a bird in the background?

  • whats the song

  • Steel for cases is good...

  • Do you have a bird?

  • nahh shit

  • who cares if its heavy its not like your gonna lug that thing around all day!

  • Hi whats the name of the case?

  • Apevia or aspire goes by 2 names

  • is the mother board atx or what? also im looking for a (cpu, celeron d, intel pentium duel core, and intel core 2 duo) if you know a site selling for a cheap price plzz tell me

  • yes to the 1st question and newegg for your 2nd question

  • Take it easy with the stuff man:P dont throw the fans and things around.

  • lol, chris the asian

    tee hee

  • whats the name of the tittle?

  • lol laft over crap xD

  • haha asoos :P

  • NICE

  • OMG be careful with your stuff! XoX

Just be careful with your stuff and this would've been a great tut vid but for most people out there this might hurt...

  • It actually pain me watching you beat the hell out of your motherboard and RAM, you are throwing components too much it is sensitive, looks like you only know about electrcity, but anyway great vid

  • Do you see how the mobo is sitting maybe a couple of mm off from the table, its on studs.Like i tell everyone, i'm not a noob, i know how sturdy computer parts are so i know its limits. Plus the camera picks up sound weirdly

  • Ok, bro my bad!!

  • don't mean to sound mean or anything

  • no its ok, it was just sound i guess

  • hey what are the specs of your computer

  • dude you have to be less "offhand" with parts... don't touch the CPU or heatsink, oils from your fingers adversely affect the temps..

you just can't go around hitting things dropping them on a table, throwing things around... you're asking for trouble, and one day you will get it with an expensive build you just bought.

    electronics are sensitive. be CAREFUL

  • I touch and point so people know what i'm talking about and where its located

  • lol that must be an old case... 80mm fans sheesh

  • "in my body" *touches nipples*

Haha, good video though.. but when you just slapped your mobo i almost gasped. :P

  • i feel like you are trying to destroy your computer XD

  • great informative video, sorry to say but you choice of music blows...:)

  • hey dude nice video im about to build my own computer.have a question for you. if i buy vista do i have a limit on how many computers i can put it on? thanks

  • Nice label on the case "Property of the Asian"

  • "who gives a shit about fancy boxes!?"

  • can you use just any thermal compound?

  • i use artic silver, thats really to me the best on the market

  • so you can use it on any CPU?

  • yep any cpu

  • just make sure the socket type is compatible

  • What does socket type have to do with thermal compound? It doesn't go into the socket it goes on the cpu.

  • thermal compound? yes

  • what?

  • wow sorry, i clicked reply to someone totally different that was asking a question, must have glitched out or something

  • send me that vista cd lol..

  • song name in the start?

  • i'm so sick - flyleaf

  • lol.. "who gives a shit about fancy boxes!?"

  • I have a apevia case to! yeah!=)^^

  • Did I get a good deal for this on newegg? 297.00, 3 days ago. thanks.

  • nice flyleaf

  • is it true about the static wrist stap?

  • Whats true?

  • about the static wrist strap, i havent got one but i looked somewhere and he said you can put one hand on the metal part of the case while you install things

  • well, if you watch the other videos i have of this, i do believe i mention something about it and/or touching a non painted surface of some kind..

  • you wanna sell that 939 board

  • I already sold that asus board.

  • dammit thanks anyway

  • Would 2.4 Quad, or 3.0 Duo better for gaming?

  • yes

  • It's good to know both are good for gaming, but I meant which is better, because they are priced very similar.

  • i say spend the money on The Q6600...honestly, that would be my choice..but the only difference is that the newer cpu are 45nm compared to the 65nm of the previous ones.

  • Alright thanks.

  • actually the Q6600 is more for multitasking rather than gaming, the E8400 is better for gaming, but still Q6600 is a good choice

  • oh, what about a Q9300?

  • Q9300 is uber, it would be good for everything, but still overkill, i would wait for more LGA1366 CPU's to come out, that's what im doing

  • I7 cpus are already out

  • yes i know but if you re-read what i said

'i would wait for MORE LGA1366 CPU's to come out :P

  • hey chris, good tutorials man!

    just a question.

i have a modular 520W true power PSU with a maximum output voltage of 600W, my setup is quite powerful(Q6600 cpu,2GB dominators,1GB ATI HD4850 etc..) you think my supply is good enough?

  • a 520 Watt psu is maximum output with be between 70-85% efficent. i have not yet seen a psu that outputs the full wattage like 750 watt. mine is a 750 watt psu with 85% efficent rate so max would be 637 watts...so when looking for a psu look for something that has over 80% efficiency.

and if your using this psu already and everything is running fine.. i guess its ight..but me with a setup like that, in my eyes i would have at least 750 watts.

  • BTW... Touching metal only won't work :D

The metal you touch have to be grounded.

  • its static discharge, not 12 volts going through a series or parallel circuit. the same affect you get when you rub your feet on carpet and touch metal...it does the same thing. thats discharging the static...not high ass voltage.

  • Thankyou for these videos they have helped me with my first build...do you do this for a living? Your house just seems to be full of spares and extras - I think thats awesome :)

  • ZALMAN STG1 is even better than AS5 and easier to apply

  • i've used it, and i think the artic silver is better...its doesn't look watery like the zalman does...artic is more thicker than the zalman, even though its easier to apply, i switched from that to the artic silver...much better in my opinion

  • aww.. man your so rough with your parts...but you know its just cheap parts anyway...

  • like i keep saying before, i know what im doing..and the audio on the camera makes things louder....but yeah, i know what im doing... im not a noob building his first computer

  • i think is so sick or im sick or something by flyleaf

  • what did you do with this pc you made for the vid? is it for a friend? are you making a replacement for your current?

  • its older computer parts...so i used it instead of taking apart my computer

  • you shouldnt touch the CPU like that, grease on your fingers interferes with the contact on the cpu and heatsink

  • would you recommend picking hardware or a case first

  • wow...thats a really good question..um... i would say a case first, why? cause when you have a case you probably would have more room to work with, every mobo out there would probably fit it..but if you had like a dell computer and got a new motherboard..it probably would be a really really tight fit. so i would say choose a case first...but really i would say choose a case with new hardware too...i would do both at the same time

  • ok. thanks. do you have any preferences for hardware or a case w/ under a $1000 budget

  • nice hair

  • thanks i guess??

  • Please don't say that. You offended me...

  • should have gone with like a p35 motherboard with intel dual core. Not a big fan of amd's is all.

  • well if you watched my other videos, i use a Intel cpu and evga mobo. this was for demonstration

  • God, your so Asian.

    -#Zo0

  • nice shirt holmes.

i think im getting a new pc for xmas or sumthin cause yeah u know about my psu pins getting bent and shit

  • lol "can you kung fu" just sounds wrong...must be "do you know kung fu"

  • if thats what your dream date of me would be..then yes, i know kung fu

  • Whats that white crap around ur fan on the side of ur case??

  • i had a double faced tape, and i use to stick a filter on the side

  • side of what?

  • the side panel...not sure what you mean..but yeah
