  • Why, oh why, did he have to get on that g-damn helicopter, I've asked myself so many times? It seems like the very best are taken from us way too early and the average and nothing special musicians get to live to a ripe, old age. What a tragedy. It's still hard for me to view Stevie's clips without remembering that tragic day in August 1990 and the shock and sadness I felt after being told about it by a good friend of mine. :-(

  • I`ve recently done a presentation on Texas blues and of course I talked about SRV. No one heard about him in the group, jesus....

  • Every time that I think YouTube is a great wasteland - I am proved wrong.... I wish I could have this on hi-def DVD....... You made me cry, the best tribute I can pay you for this incredible artwork is...

    Soul to Soul

  • this is feeling to the bone

  • What a waste. At this point in his life, Stevie had got himself clean from drugs and seemed to really find a focus in his playing. In my opinion he was playing better than ever at this point. Just listen to his tone and touch on this record - it's sublime. RIP Stevie x

  • How could god take this man away.. but leave Kanye West around?! One of the reasons I dont believe in God.

  • This music will make your soul do a little jig,

  • Stevie was taken from this earth way too soon, he was an inspiration to so many... one of the VERY BEST if not the BEST Blues Guitar players this world has ever seen and he is dearly missed but his music will live on forever.... thank you to whoever made this video.

  • just..beautiful... headphones on .. glass of red..... bliss..

  • @kernowrock555

I completely agree - this is truly a keeper - I'm bookmarking it. Stevie means so much to me, he is on my right shoulder - he's always with me. I can't play Tin Pan without thinking of Stevie and starting to cry. I am very much afraid that the cacophany of racket that is called music today, drowns out the music from the heart, which is the blues. Stevie lit a fire, and its up to each of us still here to keep that flame alive. Soul to Soul

  • @Zumbawithcindy sweet

  • he is living

  • @bserficeli That's right.

  • is this drity pool?

  • @torontosorewristhex this is" tin pan alley" from couldn't stand the weather.. also called roughest place in town on the live at the steamboat album(can't remember the title)

  • They don't play music like this in bars!!! The music now days is pathetic!!!! I miss you dearly Stevie... :-(

  • Blue's bar's still play music like this just alot harder to find then the popular shitty establishments, but yea it's a drag real music is been pushed so far underground

  • SRV, Oh Yes....!!! We'll forever miss you Brothaha and all those who played the blues with their heart and soul. I do agree 4 those who dislike SRV you're dead inside no soul...!!!! The [C]rappers which is for zombies....SRV and his brothers of soul is for the rest of us who have a heart and soul for true blues and rock-n-roll.....I tip my hat to a fallen "Blues Angel" a Master of soulful blues to which will live inside each and everyone of us. R.I.P. my Brothaha and play for the GOD's

  • Purple Onion....Atlanta...1969

  • ~I MISS U SRV, LK, KLGRIGG, ROY E. STAFFORD, SAINT PIO, ALL MY HEAVENLY & MUSICAL SAINTS~ ~~~PLEASE STAY W/ ME~elleoxox

  • Will be missed until the end of time, and when explorers dig up his music thousands of years from now, it will still be timeless.

  • Tin pan alley

  • What is the title to this song? I just love SRV, always will. Live on precious one!

  • @tkkimbel TinPan Alley

  • Best Ever!

  • stevie came out at a time where we so needed a heavy bluesman.

he played with lots of power, which is why most of us love guitar.

i was very sad to hear of his passing as we all are .he passed some years after cliff burton passed and i remember thinking "why are these guys taken the way they were? still,i am sad.lol.

  • Saw Stevie in Arrowhead right before his last gig, it was a crushing loss. Oh and the 14 thumbs down, you had them in your butt warming up, you can suck on it now.

  • 14 dislike? Not even bears can dislike this, how can you?

  • Hero's are remembered, But LEGENDS never die...Rock on Stevie...

  • Truly a great musician, who is up there jamming with the greats. A friend of Bill. Stevie brings it on home for me when i,m feeling kind of lost. Thanks my friend.

  • can someone tell me what song is playing in the beginning of this video?

  • @Robb9096 REVIERA PARADISE

  • @Robb9096 I'M SORRY NOT RIVERA PARADISE BUT (TIN PAN ALLEY)

  • One of the greats, you will be missed and if all is true we will all hear you play again in another place!! RIP

  • You know what, radio waves can travel through space, so even if this world comes to an end, his music will still be out there, somewhere in the Nebula's. "Yes, I do smoke a lot of weed, why do you ask?" PIP SRV (Play in Peace Stevie Ray Vaughan). Goodnight everybody...

  • know matter what anyone says he will always be the best guitar player there is. i just wish i was able to see him in on stage. he was killed when i was 2. ive been listening to him my whole life and will continue to till the day i die

  • im 22 and none of my friends dont know who he was or his music. he went too early, maybe if he went on to make his future hits they would all know him. i can half ass play all of his music; none if my friends can reconize it, tho. i guess i was one when he died. he is by far my fav, guitarists.

  • When I was a teenager and was taking any pill I could find,I found xanax. And those pills make me do some crazy shit and can't remember any of it..But one night I took a bunch of them and wound up breaking into cars to take anything of value.. I snatched a bunch of tapes and Stevie ray Vaughn was in there. I went home and started playing them And I've been hooked on SRV every since.. I'll never forget that and that my friends is the blues!

  • @Agnostic1breed Fuck you man!!! you took my SRV's tapes you motherfucker!!

  • @Agnostic1breed : Did ya feel guilty & give al the shit back?

  • best tunes ever

  • Tin Pan Alley..!!!

  • I could listen to Stevie all day long!! He was may favorite blues man and Teena Marie was my favorite singer. I'm glad the two got to work together at least once. They both left plenty of real music(unlike the trash that passes for music today) for us to enjoy. It proves greatness recognizes greatness.

  • R.I.P

. SADLY MISSED! ONE & ONLY!

  • whats with the fag bella, have to do with SRV

  • love this song

  • Srv u were awesome

  • thanks for the memories Stevie. we sorely miss you!

  • I feel great sorrow and dismay to know that guitarists of this caliber and bread will all be leaving this world and no one will be able to pick up and carry the torch for those they left behind. hope to see you steve. when it's my turn to go home.

  • RIP SRV!!!

  • Hendrix would have loved him.

  • demn ina hotel building

    glancing at the city lights

    feeling smooth like hennessy

    bout time for some pussy

mmmm red is what glowing tonight

  • it sucks that he had to leave before I was even born- It saddens me to think that most people that could say that don't even know who he is :(

  • @Zaspor just the young bucks like you dont know. lol. all you have to do is listen and you will know who he was

  • I wish i was old enough back then to go to his concerts. I have been moved by his music.

  • Very nice and smooth.SRV could be so soft and slow and then rip it hard with the greatest blues guitar music I've ever heard. 21 years ago, the best guitar player in the world went to play for God. So many great players said SRV was the best. Some even said that if they played like him their fingers would fall off after about 20 seconds. After all thes years, I still love him and listen to him all the time. R.I.P.

  • It was like losing a family member.... RIP Stevie Ray....

  • I can't wait to play with you in heaven !!

  • This is the last You vid for SRV I will watch tonight. The loss of Stevie touched SO many, myself included. He was something else. Even a legend like Eric Clapton sang his praises. I LOVE YOU SRV! I MISS YOU! TO THIS DAY, I MAKE SURE PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T HEARD YOU, DO!

6 Strings Down, Jimmie spoke it best about the loss of this fantastic musician!

  • Proof positive, the good die young :'(

  • Still missinya Stevie, gone but never forgotten!

  • good video

  • A beautifully done tribute. Hats off!

  • simply the greatest ever...what a ride he could take you on.....if you don't feel something while listening to Stevie why then your soul is just dead

  • worse than 9/11 for me.

  • i thought i knew music until a few years back when my dad bought me a SRV album and told me he's amazing. he was so right. i didn't know true music until i heard him. he's a true legend who left too early. he may have passed away but he will never. NEVER be gone. he'll remain in my heart, jimmie vaughan's and every person on this planet that believes he is a true blues legend. RIP Stevie. your music will never fade away

  • NM, It don't matter if the masses cannot experience the beauty, joy and artistry of the great bluesmen, cause they're caught up with being "hip" and "with it"!! Would you really want to hear people admittin to liking "Back Street Boys" while you're at a Blues gig?TPA is the greatest slow blues I have ever heard in my life, bar none! I feel cheated that SRV is Jammin with Muddy, Robert J and all the rest of the bluesmen! 21 yrs next month! His artistry will endure, the true mark of a star!

CORDE sensible!!!

  • R.I.P. Stevie Ray Vaughan

  • RIP...

  • fuck helicopters!

  • I want so badly this video to has views more than any other on YouTube it's so damn amazing if you can feel this song !

  • AS MAGNIFICENT AS THIS IS, SOMETIMES IT'S REALLY HARD FOR ME TO LISTEN TO IT! This music (yes, MUSIC) is SO FAR BEYOND all the CR@P that's out there today, that it makes you wanna G@g even harder when weighing it against the "glittering g@rb@ge" that the L@dy G@g@'s, the BeeBoreStiff's, and the [C]r@ppers' of this world keep putting out - & which thanx to the media there is no getting away from!

SRV - RIP; and may your legend & tuneful magic live long in the hearts & souls of all MUSIC lovers.

  • @NothingMaster this music and much of the blues music turned out by Stevie and other legends is truly a refuge against the deluge of crappy music out there today!!!! i blame the guys in the studios who let those people like lady gaga and others even near microphone and a tape recorder, if it had been me, i would have pulled the plug on all of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @BLUESMANRONCHICAGO but it's not you and it's not your choice, SRV was great, we can all agree...but not liking music that you do not even listen to makes you seem old...too old to even try to be hip. SRV had a true talent that's for sure and I think he had the frame of mind "to each their own" but it is unfortunate that one of his fans surely doesn't. That's too bad. The crappy music you hear today is not much different than when they told us our music was crappy. remember?

  • @gman829dixon my parents made some cracks about the hippies and long haired people in the sixties but they never said the music was crappy, my dad even dug Cream and my mom liked the Beatles. I do believe in the phrase to each his own, but i can say without a doubt the music of today comes nowhere close to the music I grew up with, musicianship is lacking, as well as songwriting, and I will have to insist that most of today's quote unquote music IS crap!!!

  • @NothingMaster ...you aint kidding my brother...I saw SRV many times and I cant begin to tell you how fantastic it was to watch his big fingers slid over those strings. who is to say who the greatest guitarist is or was, but Stevie is in the mix.

  • @NothingMaster AMEN BROTHER. MASTER PIECE. DON'T MAKE EM LIKE THIS ANYMORE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • @NothingMaster I totally agree with you. When I hear SRV sing Life by the Drop my soul hurts. RIP Stevie.

  • @NothingMaster Consider Stevie Ray and others who made great music a refuge from the storm of today's crap, a place you can go to and just listen and soak it in. That's what I do, whether it be Stevie Ray, Pink Floyd, the Moody blues, Traffic, etc.

Great music makes me forget about what is going on today, and I just stay away from the radio and stick to CD's!!!

  • love what you did with the ballet angle and tribute to SRV. I found 2 similar ballet adaptations to modern music. I wish more ballet companies would do this; I think it would inspire a new generation of enthusiasts.

Here are the 2 videos below for anyone curious, search the titles from Banberry 2112 channel:

Billy Bragg, Wilco . Natalie Merchant & Michael Stipe - Candy Everybody Wants. [ centre stage ]

RUSH - Signals - Losing it - [ dedicated to all ballet dancers ]
