  • I guess if I was in to Laugh In and The Partridge Family I'd be in to this. I remember a lot of stupid commercials then. But then again every era is full of corporations going with ad agencies that treat the buying public like complete idiots. I like Mustangs by the way.

  • I like when she said Mustang 69! with a sexxi look knowing she has no tits

  • I drove a 69 mustang on the fourth of july... best day of my life! Too bad the guy didn't know anything about engines, and payed someone to do all of the dirty work...

  • LAUGH IN ------ MUSTANG STYLE.

  • This commercial was cheesy back then let alone now!

  • Wow, what a great snapshot look at America in the late 60's...

  • I got a 1969 Mach 1 mustang. I'm 13. Been working in it for 2years almost done

  • @Nolan7652 lucky

  • FUCK JDM!!!!!!!!

  • best looking musle car ever....its so sad that nowadays all we see is prius, civics, corollas etc. damm i wish i grew up in the late 60s.

  • Mahatma Grande! Mach the Knife! Such good jokes!

  • Obviously Ford was piggybacking this ad campaign on the popularity of NBC's "Rowan & Martin's Laugh-in"

  • stop that pigeon NOW!!!!

  • I want the white fast back, SO... BADDDDDDD!!!!!!

  • this year is the best mustang ever.

  • Interesting they do a retro thing at the beginning even while the car still had classic styling and just before they screwed it all up. The Laugh In thing really helps to make this a corny ad - like most in the day. But that's how it was. I think even the most untalented ad agency today would know how to really sell this car.

  • a Nazi at 0:49?

  • @NichtsNadaNothing It was a knock-off of Arte Johnson's "Very Eeenteresting" character from NBC's Rowan & Martin's Laugh-in; the whole ad was a send-up of the popular culture-comedy show.

  • 69 lol :P

  • ha, I love this! I had a Blue '69 conv a few years back, that was a blast to drive. It got alot of attention and very reliable too. I love the rare bumper guards at 0:30.

  • Good thing ford is better at making cars than commercials.

  • Laugh-In FAIL ,but INNNTERESTING! LoL

  • in 1969 the GT was renamed ''Grande'' to atracked more custimers. the original GT Packege coulden't keep up with the Boss 302. Boss 429, Mach 1 and Shelbies?

the GT ironicly over took the Engines of the Boss 302, wich by 1972 became the Standerd ''Grande/GT'' Engine?

  • The grande and gt where two separate models. The grande was only available in the coupe form with a vinyl top I believe (could be wrong about that) and a luxurious and padded interior. The GT was a sportsroof only model (once again I could be wrong) and was a bare bones car with no flashyness like the mach 1 and boss 302 models and didn't have a deluxe interior. the GT didn't sell well in 69 so they got rid of it in 70.

  • Gt could be any body style

  • @pershing22 the boss 302 had a hemi engine. the standard 302 wasn't hemi.

  • @machone7I

I know, the ONLY Hemis that were in the Fors Mustang were the Boss 429 and 302. the Stock 302 engine was what i beleive a mid-range engine with 190 HP. not sure tough...

  • the Grande was a luxury version of the Mustang

  • 69! Ahahaha!.

  • The 429 BOSS Mustang was rated the best muscle car of all time.

  • Whoever rated that must have been a foriegner

  • Those people are all dead now. That makes me sad.

  • not all of them, cheer up and buy a Mustang

  • love the puns they used "mach The Knife",

    "mahatma Grande"

  • I love the Mustang... but man, this commercial is freaking hilarious... in a really dated, cheesy kind of way. Laugh-In it's not either.

  • That white one was dope.

  • Yeah, the car looks nice......not so much the commercial. Poor 69 Mustang deserved better. Steve McQueen should have came out and said "Mustang...mother fucker!"

  • "Mahatma Grande" ! I love it!

  • At :46 the actor calls it a 'Mark 1' I think the model was actually called a 'Mach 1'-prounounced 'Mock 1'. Great flashback!

  • @lasuvidaboy u are correct

  • Best car in the world

  • today girls love that a men drive this type of muscle cars

  • A laugh-in parody. Nice!

  • haha love it... the girls will be calling huh ;)
