@N15gooner the filter removes partials in water that could damage a boilers and parts of a central heating system. The filter doesn't remove chemical contaminates and viruses that are safe to boilers but unsafe for human consumption
Dear Mr Rubber Duck, I know what a magnaclean does, have fitted enough of them during my time as a heating engineer, as it happens, in my opinion, the TF1 is a better product and so is the Magnabooster.
They don't seem to leak as much as the Magnaclean in my experiance.
@jezzyby47 a system flush should be carried out by a professional. Full ststem flush will clean out between 50-80% of the dirty in the system. This can be done in a day. How ever the system flush will need repeating again in a years time after new dirt has built up.
if a system flush is really required i would sugest fitting a magnaclean after the flush to help remove the remaining dirt not removed from the system and help maintain the system in the future.
It all depends on how dirty your system is, it's so easy to clean the filter you can do it in a few mins. Keep cleaning it regualy until you find it's clean then increase the time between
You then need to check it every service as your system will build up with more gunk as your radiator rust and deposite gunk into your system
@jezzyby47 this is a demo... you just need to degunk when it requires... once a year when you have you boiler serviced is normal.... but this does depend on how dirty your system is.
@RubberDuckBathrooms - Yes i know it's once a year, but i meant, do you do it until it's clean, maybe a few times, like in the video, on that one yearly occasion, or do you just empty it once? Don't worry, I can confuse myself sometimes!!!
@jezzyby47 in this demo the dirty water is going round at a faster rate than a normal heating system as its such a small system (ie not got 20 rooms and 30 radiators to go through). In the first year you may wish to clean the filter more than once (ie a couple of times) to remove the majority of the dirt that has build up over times. A central heating claning solution also a good idea for a new install into an old system.

if the water is that clean why didn't he drink it? Then i'd be impressed.

Please note this filter shown is the old 22mm Magnaclean filter. New version is now available for our website.
New version work in the same way but with imporved iso valves and attachments.

Do you think this could replace a system flush, obviously with some sentinel in there also?

Do you have to de-gunk it every 1, 2, 4, and 12 minutes like he is doing in this demo, or can you just de-gunk it once?
