I had just beaten (was it Omega or was it Ultima first?...whatever..) I beat one of them, and had made it almost to the end ... and i get killed by a friggin Malboro.. I hate those things.. I must have screamed so loud...

you can also take a weapon with the competence initiative then you will start to play before the malboro ;)

Always stay right next to the save spot until you WIN at least 10-15 battles; fleeing won't give any rewards. Then begin exploration. If still underlevelled, just battle until an enemy drops a Peaceful accessory. Make sure to not open the treasure chests until you find out which chest is a trap (by saving current progress, opening, quitting, retrying, opening, quitting, retrying...)

i just ran my ass out of there, after curiousity made me steal from the monsters that is. this was also the first time i found out that proof doesnt = 100% immune (in rare occasions id get hit even tho its proofed D:) well... i liked steal, steal... that and self destruct. muhuhahahahahah die for us kihmarhi :V

Malboros aren't that bad if you have good accessories OR if you have someone with First Strike (Auron's ultimate weapon has it) and someone with Flee out of the party. :3 (Saved me soooooo many times. Once I levelled up a bunch (as in 10+ in the Omega Ruins), but a Malboro utterly massacred me, and then I figured out a strategy on how NOT to die. :D )

@ssbbdiego BDL on Taming Weapon (and high strength). Someone has First Strike, BDL Tamer is not in party, Yuna is not in party or has First Strike ('case you wanna summon)

Swap to BDL person and 1 hit that shit.

Same here. I think I got more Game Overs from that Marlboro than the bosses alone, even the optional ones at the Monster Arena. Also, this theme was kind of misleading: lighthearted music playing an a dungeon filled with nasty fiends, each with the potential to give you a Game Over if you weren't prepared.
