  • @Naimka1> After Babyface n LA left. So did Keyo. Only Dee n Satin stayed n cut an album. That didn't work out n so they disbanded til a few yrs ago. Keyo, Dee, Satin, n Stick, who left da band in 85, got back together. Babyface n LA still doin their own thing. I got no knowledge whether da group made any recent songs..

  • I don't even know if I'd be listening to the same style of music if it weren't for Babyface

  • I think they're lip syncing. Most, if no all of the acts that appeared on Soul Train did that. We know what happened with the careers of Babyface and LA Reid. They went on the Bigger & Better things. Does anyone know that happened with the other band members?

  • I don't think they were lip syncing,I just think they're that good

  • @MicDizzle2 yes they are soul train started making there performers lip syncing i believe around the 80s on

  • Sooo cool, love it, ol old school. Babyface was so young!

  • My wedding song!

I love you my one and only, still to this day I only think of you on two occasions....

    DAY AND NIGHT!

    LOVE YOU FOREVER.

  • @hpgoblin1 I think most, if not all artists did that on Soul Train.

  • they sound original even when live. THAT'S TALENT!

  • a great song

  • Man I love how they made the transition from 1 singer 2 the next..That's how u do it..Not everybody having a mic like rappers do on stage..BRING BACK REAL R&B WITH NO HIP HOP

  • I Believe This Was A Video Clip From The 558th Edition Of "Soul Train" On January 30, 1988.

  • awe man the Jeri Curls are banging. If you didnt have one, you were not in style, but your pillow was MESSY

  • Don't hate appreciate! Those guys are doing it, big time!

  • Bring back the gerrycurl babyy!!

  • @BigDaddyCool71 That would be as bad as bringing back the mullet LOL

  • A beautiful song of '80s.thank you.

  • jhs 189 flushing queens..... hey vera u still out there.... miss u...... first kisssss.............. stevie d know who i am

  • They're totally playing a backtrack. Compare it to the album version and it's exactly the same. You can also tell because of how the voices fade at the end of the song.

  • Almost all performance on Soul Train used recorded vocals and instrumentals. Soul music was a fine studio art and you could never duplicate it especially in a live setting. Overdubs, string/horn orchestration, and a proper mix would be impossible.

  • @eddiesilversurfer YOU ARE RIGHT I ONLY SEEN A COUPLE OF OLD EPISODES WHERE THEY PLAYED LIVE IT WAS RARE ANYONE PLAYED LIVE. O

  • i have been wanting to hear this for years, but i had to ask my daughter what the name of it was, thank god for teenagers. lol baby face is rocking

  • you can tell!!! babyface xxx-factor!!!!

  • OMFG!!! WHAT CLASSIC FOOTAGE ty soooomUCH!!!!!!

  • one of my old time greats-truely great great song-thxx 4 this vid

  • omg thanks for this! i love this song for ages! and this is the first time i've seen this soul train guesting of the deele! thanks!!!!

  • oh shit!! lol this is my jam and the crowd is dead as hell.

  • one of the greatest song ever written

  • Wow they look like they went straight from the video shoot to Soul Train. Their clothes look exactly like the ones they wore on thier video. Oh well, it still is a great song. Thanks for posting this video :-)

  • You know I truly believe that, same move, and everything but that's when you can truly sing and looks don't matter, not that they look bad or anything. They sound so good that you don't care about what they are wearing or where they are you just want to hear them all the time well at least I do you know.

  • That's My Song!
