Huge load of memories come flooding back listening to this. This was one of my mothers favorite numbers that i played when I was learning guitar. I admit I have never played it like this. Funny thing, she couldn't remember "pipeline" and didn't have a clue about the "surf sound", so she always called this tune "log chain".
I hope she could hear this version from Heaven. If so she would get a kick out of hearing log chain once again.
I love this song ... few people catch the subtlety of The Chantays original, but this comes close. And to play rhythm and lead on an acoustic and still make it so cool ... impressive. Back to the guitar for me! I was schooled. Thanks!!!
