I'm commenting back a bit late, but I tried it one time on flat ground doing kickflips while playing master of puppets, and when it came time for this contest I took it to the halfpipe. It can be destructive to the guitar(i broke a tuning head) but it's so much fun haha

it was a contest held by TSO, and was like my entrance to the world of youtube. The contestants had to play either guitar, bass, drums, or keys to a given backing track and make a video of them playing the song. I didn't want a boring play-guitar video so I came up with this, kept the original bad-quality audio so people didn't think I was faking. I didn't make it to the finals, but it was a cool contest and they did send me an awesome jacket!

If you've only been playing a few months i wouldn't really worry about it until you've been playing longer or sound is a big issue. I got EMGs cause my live sound was bad for my style of music. if you have the money u can, but i dont think its necessary
