  • ...Sooo....you eat animals that have been run over by a car....well, atleast they weren´t in some tiny cage their entire life. AND Its better than killing some animals that could´ve made it a few years longer.

  • is there any chance of picking up disease doing this?

  • A road killed a whole Turkey :p

  • The last three deer I've eaten have been fresh roadkill. Thank you for reminding me I'm not the only one.

  • Good use of a dead animal, but might want to consider putting the bird in a pot of boiling water to help de-feather it.

  • @rbrine01

    Thank you for the tip.

The Farmers wife and daughter put 4 of our OLD Layer chickens into a retirement program.

They used the hot water trick and it worked very well.

    Thanks again!

    Wanna BEE Farmer

  • @ RANDOM1PRODUCTIONZ Cleatus go hit n'other and make up a story to put on youtube

  • I don't see what the problems is, it's better than these people who go out and kill animals for fun and keep them in the freezer for two years and it

  • thats gross????

  • @hamsterxgoxnuts

    Hello Ms, nuts about hamsters.

I am confused about your comment!

Are you trying to decide if it is gross to you?

Hence all of the question marks.

It reminds me of a joke I heard on the Prairie Home Companion joke show.

Its goes "Did you hear about the Unitarian who want around burning question marks on peoples lawns?"

  • @WannaBEEfarmer

That should have read Went not Want.

"Did you hear about the Unitarian who WENT around burning question marks on peoples lawns?"

  • @WannaBEEfarmer rednecks

  • @TheDream123451

We do have a health dose of a "lack of sophistication"

I am becoming fond of politicly correct label:

    "Appalachian American"

  • @WannaBEEfarmer redneck

  • mm asphault and rubber flavor

  • seriously people it was still warm than they picked it up. that turkey was WAY fresher and healthier to eat than anything you'd buy in the store. Way to not let it go to waste, I would've done the same thing.

  • now thats the true american life.

  • the way of red necks

  • Hello @sunlad34

    the way of red neck

Sound like a good title for a book. maybe Mr Foxwothy will run with it.

Although I have a health dose of “a glorious lack of sophistication,”

I think that many people would consider us Hicks.

  • that's amazing that you live in an area where turkeys are road kill. you must eat great all the time!

  • wow, I'd love to be that turkey and want to get my head chopped off be both of them, yesssssssssssssssss

  • Nothin better than eating road kill. People look at you like your a swamp living red neck heheheh. I have had deer, rabbit ,pheasant . duck. I havn`t had road kill fish yet heheh.

  • 0_0

  • the girl is man handling that turkey! love it! she's not afraid at all. you go girl!

  • seriously tht crap could have been sick!

  • @nattie21o

Seriously,! the crap you buy in the store and pay good money for could have been sick.

People in the UK did not get BSE, from health animals.

Seriously many people die each year from store bought meat.

Ask the parents of children from USA that have died from store bought ground meat.

I never would have thought that this simple video would have caused such responses.

    Take care.

Hopefully it will make people think, before they eat.

  • @WannaBEEfarmer man you have intelligent reasonable responses

sorry you have delt with such ignorance

    I really like your style

  • thats fuckin sick man how long was that bird laying ther dead?

  • @boardingpass04

Not in the road long still warm.

    Tell you what boarding pass.

There was less destruction to the turkey meat, then the goat meat in the video that you have as a favorite on your channel.

Our kids are getting quite an eduction in the use of the english language reading the comments about this video. I usually delete comments from people who have not posted their own videos. I am going to let this comment stay for now.

  • @WannaBEEfarmer i hunt for trophy im not a fan of game .. i raise my own beef

  • I can tell these aren't real country folks---country folks grow up knowing how to pluck an clean a dang turkey

  • I think I'll pass :p. I'll prob just get something from wal-mart haha.

  • Wee eatin good tonight Cleatus

  • @RANDOM1PRODUCTIONZ

    To qoute:-Roscoe P. Coltrane "Gkhuh-gkhuh-gkhuh!"

  • Thats the video I watched too for cleaning a turkey. lol

  • Turkey preparation steps: Dunk, pluck, gut, brine, roast, serve. You just wasted a lot of meat by cutting corners. Some people say that the breast is the only good part, but those people obviously can't cook.

  • Str8eningTheCurves is the man to thank for this instructional

  • Hey man I saw a raccoon and o'possum down the road, they are only a couple days old, I can ship them to you....

  • @BigSwellsy lmao lol hahhahahahahaha was thinkin tha same thing. recession...

  • Man looks like you guys have a nice house

  • wtf i think thats fake cause your wife said " i wanted to take them shooting"

  • @Sammy78girl

Trust me, this is a real road kill.

I have not shot any food animals in 20 plus years.

So far I have refrained from making any Road Kill deer videos. I made my wife clean the last road kill deer to try and get her to stop bringing home road kill. It did not work.

  • oh ok but how come there isnt no like tire marks or bumber marks

  • @Sammy78girl

There were no tire tread marks. :-) But the skin in the back belly was worn off. The tire and bumper marks are kind of a standing joke about road kill meat at our house. I told my wife that I could see the Subaru symbol on a steak from a deer that a neighbor had hit, when my wife was cooking it.

I am rather selective about the roadkill that I bring home. My wife, not so much. One time we got a deer on Christmas eve the had no damage to the meat at all. But thats another story.

  • cool but watch out for diseases and bacteria

  • "Yuk Hill billys eat to much disease...stomach viruses"

  • I see it was still alive when it wings we're cut...

  • recession..

  • thats a good find was it in good shape

  • looks like it cause the meat wasnt all scrambled

  • real country little girl

  • wait ur eating rd kill ????

  • YEP!

  • I do too well sometimes

  • the freshest free meat!! your so lucky

  • hope that was a fresh kill

  • uh we all eat carcasses. No one eats animals alive so far as I know. Watch a slaughter house, this method is far more sanitary that the stuff you eat from the grocery store.

  • and by interesting i mean "idiots"

  • you people are ...interesting.....

  • um... did u ever consider WEARING gloves while plucking the feathers?

  • They should've sleeved their tongues with condoms, too. After all, who knows where this turkey had been...

  • @crazyspaz247 why would you wear gloves when your plucking turkey feathers? you northerners sure do amaze me sometimes with your girlyness.

  • @4KawasakiRider4 have you ever wondered why experts advise ppl to wear thick rubber gloves while plucking? oh i don't' know, maybe because there are people who are actually concerned about health and sanitation. but if plucking birds without gloves on floats your boat, so be it.

  • @crazyspaz247 why the hell would you be concerned with a turkey feather? lol!? i get where your coming from but trust me, 99% of your average joe people pluck feathers without gloves, theres just no point in wearing gloves.

  • lol at americans relearning how to be self sustaining from youtube. all is not lost.

  • LOL the video they are watching is the same one i just watched

  • Sir, I salute you!

At first, I wasn't sure if I would eat roadkill myself, but after seeing you and your family have such a good time and then end up with a good meal... Just tell me when dinner is. I'll bring the wine.

  • Comment removed

  • Very true

They usually steal it from the supermarket and cook it in a trashcan while dancing a jig or two.

  • There are animals who eat carcasses. We are not those animals. We as HUMANS have methods in which to kill our foods and consume them safely. Carcass eaters are bacterias that we don't have which allows them to break down all sorts of unhealthy bio associated with any random dead carcass. Very unhealthy high risk doing this sort of thing.

  • Oh now I understand how people manage to get poisoned by food.

Just sell your camera and buy safe food, you vultures!

  • Hello Melnorm,

    Food for thought.

What leads you think that the industrialized food that you pay for in the store is any safer the road kill?

    :-)

  • They don't collect meat from highways.

You can be sure that industrialized food is not made from roadkills!

Funny that you come up with a concept like 'safety' or 'health' to compare ind.food and carcass. I think you need a better cover for your stinginess. If you want natural food soooo much then buy a rifle and shoot your turkey yourself. Just don't eat carcass. It's a high risk.

  • I just watched the same video as her and She did a great job. I would do the same thing. Way to go Waste not Want not.

  • nice

  • thats fucken gross...after watching a shit load of these videos of people chopping up the shit i normally eat...i think im becoming a vegetarian and im definitly not eating dinner tonight

  • maybe he was inspect and u eat him.

    thats not good idea

  • Car run her over.

  • Do you know why a car run her over?

What if she was sick or poisoned.

Are you nuts? Stop eating roadkills!. Just leave them to carcass eaters if you really care for nature and animals.

  • was that turkey dead when u find him?

  • yes

  • nice job!I actually followed the same guys video, worked like a charm.

  • looks delicous almost made my mouth drool

  • Hello Chris,

    Thank you for commenting.

I was delicious! but then again you can put anything that is not bad in a Dutch oven with garlic, onions, spices and a good vinegar or left over wine and it will taste good when cooked. I have never tried it with fish. Yet

  • Waste not want not! Personally I have eaten things that most people would basicly puke if they saw it! Been all over the world did survival training in the USMC, grew up trapping and fishing for food. To let something that is still good for consumption go to waste is more of a crime! I applaud you for what you have done with this turkey. I can only hope others would learn to waste less.

  • Hello NCHiker1970 thanks for the comment. I have been following you channel and comments over at MBDC (JK) We picked up a road kill deer about a week after the turkey. But is was in rough shape. My wife gutted it, her first time. I use to trap when I was a kid and am not overly fond of gutting road kill animals. I would have left the deer since it had been rolled under a car. But my wife hates to waste anything. The deer was a little to rough to put on you tube. Looks like I have offended some.

  • Forget about those who do not understand, to each their own I say. Perhaps one day I will do a video of me cleaning a squirrel for the cook pot. If that offends someone so be it. Food is food!

  • it's gotta be fresh.... It will spoil if you wait too long. I hope you take that into consideration.

  • omg. why is this okay???!!! its horrible!!! you should bury it not chop it up for dinner!!! its so mean and stupid!!! ugh!!! you man eating monsters!!!

  • Luvmygoats78

    Thank you for your comment.

You have an interesting point of view.

Have you ever eaten a burger from a fast food restaurant? ( Mc D. ,BK, .)

The humans and chickens at the Wanna BEE farm are omnivores.

My wife is not into personally killing animals, but she is not about to let a dead animal go to waste.

    WBF

  • You are a twisted minded sick fuck!

    And yor wife too!

How can you teach your kids to do that kind of shit?!

  • do you eat food from a grocery store? I f you do, I'm sure you've seen how your meat is treated? These animals are wild and free, not harmed, and die from unforeseen circumstances. I'm not sure I would feel safe from road kill, but it's far safer from anything you eat from the grocery store. At least you know it hasn't been sitting in a cage on top of another cage being Shat upon but a bird on top of it with it's beak cut off. Would you rather eat that, or a bird that just died on a road?

  • (vio11ro)

    I'm vegan you moron!

  • Awesome!!!

My video in your video. How cool is that?

Been called a lot of things in life. "Gentlemen" isn't one of. ;-)

I really enjoyed this. Take care.
