Karl is all kinds of awesome. He proves that one isn't automatically an airhead just because one loves fashion/ fashion design. Karl is a true artist and intellectual as well, it's' evident that he is very well read. As someone who studied and loves fashion, and who also enjoys intellectual/ cultural pursuits, I think Karl is a wonderful representative for what fashion can mean beyond just the latest trends,

@sangfroidjen love your comment sangfroid! Karl deserves the respect that he gets because he is a true intellect and his opinions are valuable. he's sometimes snarky but with reason. He doesn't just limit himself and his knowledge just for fashion unlike other designers; he's willing to learn about everything. (some well-known designers out there are so flamboyant and sometimes comes across as arrogant when they mouth-off just because they are a designer of a big house. a big turn-off.)
