  • Night of the living dead lol=D

  • I'm also a horror fan! Just watched Soylent Green last night!!!

Also, I'm a papercrafter as well and am wondering who the 'crafter extraordinaire' is??? I'd love to check out her YouTube channel. Thanx! : )

---Big Hug from Atlanta (where Walking Dead is FILMED!)

  • this is my absolute favorite show!! thank you so much for sharing!!!

  • I love this show too. Each episode is so exciting it's like watching a great movie!

  • Noreen! We loved this series, our whole family watched it! We also watched Jericho and liked that too. We do not have TV service so we watch it on Netflix. I was wondering, we watched all the episodes Netflix had. Sooo, how many are there??? We did not know if we saw them all or if there's more? Did not want to give away the ending so I did not want to say what happened last in case you did not know. Anybody know how many there are?

  • @clarissamck Well, we too were BIG fans of Jericho. From the beginning we figured that because of the subject matter it would be pulled from the air and in true fashion, CBS yanked it at the end of the first season with no prayer of closure. The fans revolted, sending tons and tons, literally of peanuts to CBS headquarters. In reference to the story that Jake told about the battle of the bulge. If you saw the planes flying off to bomb the enemy, than you saw the last episode. Noreen : )

  • just finished watching the first season on iTunes. That's pretty cool they played one of my favorite Dylan tunes Tomorrow is a Long Time for the epitaph

  • We love this show, we are waiting for the restart. The first season we only caught part of one show, Hearing 'zombie show' at first, I figured it was another one of those where they lock themselves in a house and hope they dont get in. It's not and they go out and kick butt. Second season, we were hooked from the beginning, so ordered season one, sat up all night to watch it all. It is great. Sounds like you are excited about it starting again soon too.

  • I loved the first season, but thought the second was just ok. But I LOVE horror too. You should go more "media I like" videos. ^_^

  • I couldn't catch the gals name that talked to you about it.. is she on youtube, I would like to check her out.. you said she was a crafter extraordinaire>> I don't have tv anymore so I will look on the internet maybe catch some clips! God bless!

  • I have to admit I've been watching horror shows since I was in grade school..I loved Christopher Lee and all his vampire movies, frankenstein, werewolf movies w/the famous Lon Chaney Jr. etc. I love anything horror or SciFi, etc. I also got hooked on Art Bell radio show called Coast to Coast..you can YT art bell & listen to his cool archived shows that will knock your socks off..great to listen to while crafting!! ;)

  • @kokonutbaby1 I have been listening to Art Bell for nearly 20 years. I used to live in Northern Az. I have a very good friend who gives tours of the Grand Canyon by day and in the summer does vortex and UFO tours in the evenings. He is the coolest, weirdest person I know and I love him. He turned me on to Art Bell. We have also gone up to Rachel Nevada right outside of Area 51 and visited the Little Alie-Inn. Fun Stuff for certain. Yes, I am a believer. The truth IS out there.

  • @atticus9799 LOL Noreen, you're my kinda girl, hahaha ps. I'm jealous you got to go see the Lil' Alie-Inn!! Now if you all go on some wild hunt for those underground tunnels or any other ufo sites you call me so I can tagalong, LOL..I'm too chicken to go alone! haha

  • Looking more and more like everyday around here

  • Not usually into zombies but I really enjoy The Walking Dead! It's more than just zombies lol...

  • The Colony is another show you may like that has a post apocalyptic storyline. It is a really great show! It is a reality show, so real people in *real* situations. I believe they have filmed a couple of seasons, and are filming the third. They describe it as an experiment with different people from different backgrounds put together to see what they would do in a post apocalyptic situation.

  • Now I feel bummed that I passed on that when I saw the first commercials for it!

And I must take one small issue...comic books and graphic novels are NOT the same thing. :)

  • We Love The Walking Dead!! I can't wait for Feb. . Folks they got it right on this one most of the stuff on TV is a lot of puff no sustenance. This show keeps you thinking what would I do how would I handle that. I give it two thumbs UP!!!

  • Dam I shouldn't watch your vids when I'm hungry!

    -TEW

  • I am not a horror fan, but my nephew talked me into watching this with him and I am so glad he did. It is amazing. Definitely check out the graphic novel - I'm in the midst of reading it now. Beautifully done.

  • the walking dead is such a great show!! i almost croaked at the finale!! i won't spoil it, just in case someone hasn't seen it =)

  • My husband got me addicted to that show! I love it!

  • Noreen, Would you make a video sharing with us some of your favorite people you enjoy watching on youtube? I know you enjoy Heatherblueeyes and oh geesh, I drew a blank..I think it's somthing prepper! forgive me if im wrong! anyways, I would love to see who enjoy watching..Thanks so much..-Angie

  • are your sure its on amc ? My schedule doesnt show it on its schedule?

  • @soonfully Yes. you won't see anything on the schedule because new episodes won't air until Sunday, February 12th 9:00 p.m. But make sure you catch all the episodes that have already aired or you may be in the dark. It has a thick story line and plot and lots of character development. I hope you get to watch it. I really think its awesome. Noreen : )

  • I love horror movies of all kinds and zombie movies are some of the best. I have been watching this series and it is great. The true horror in this series often is really how the people treat others during this now crazy world that they find themselves in. It really represents what people would have to do to survive. Totally recommend this..Thanks for mentioning this Noreen.

  • I love this show!!! I have watched every episode!!! Can't wait until it starts back in February.

  • @meharris0925 I know, having taken the immersion program of The Walking Dead, meaning that we literally watched every episode thus far seasons 1 and 2 over the course of 4 days, I am now going through the DT's not having any new episodes until the 12th! LOL! Noreen : )

  • I love this show also. I became hooked on horror genre from Wizard of Oz, and the Birds. (What were my parents thinking lol). Another good one is American Horror Story. Check it out.

  • @dsbatts2 I wanted to watch that one, but never did commit to fitting it into my schedule. I know it sounds bad, but I love T.V. but I am busy so we dvr everything. I have old favorites that I refuse to miss like CSI (original) and Criminal Minds. I just love a program that makes you think.

  • Yup...I'm a Walking Dead Fan Boy! I got caught up in it when my wife was away for the weekend and my dog and I were looking for something to watch on Netflix...watched the first season in one day! For preppers, it shows some situations anyone can get into when our infrastructure fails and we need to become self-suficient. I like the way it goes into the human relationship issues (community, limited resources, injuries, etc.)...thanks for the review (and thanks for all those great recipes!)

  • Hit post to quick....LOL

    Thanks for the shout out!

  • So glad you like my FAVORITE TV show!!! Enjoy the premiere on 2/12! I'm having a Walking Dead party.

  • @yoliebean I'm afraid to ask what you'll be serving (brains anyone?) Just kidding! I can't wait either. BTW I love, love, love what you did with your craft room! Also, another time, I will PM you and talk to you about the fact that I have been toying with becoming a SU demonstrator. I am still on the fence though. So much to do! Thanks for cluing us in on the fab show. I don't know why it is not advertised more. I didn't even know about it until you mentioned it!

  • I love horror too!! When I was 6 I would sit in the dark alone and watch scary movies. I knew I wasn't the only "unique" person out there who likes that genre. You are so awesome Noreen!!

  • @MsDKGirl I remember having a little black and white tv in my room as a kid. Staying up late on Friday and Saturday nights watching the likes of Boris Karloff, Vincent Price and Bela Lugosi. Those were the classics. As I got older I began a love affair with Alfred Hitchcock and then moved on to the incomparable Tobe Hopper, George Romero and the ultimate Stephen King! Us girls can love a good gorefest too!

  • I have been watching this series since day one, LOVE it, DVR'd both seasons, can;t wait for Feb. 12. Glad to see that you enjoy it also.

  • There is another series I found by accident on Netflix called Survivors. And it is along the same lines, but no zombies. Really great series. Thanks for the info. God Bless

  • I really enjoyed the first season. I thought that the second season dragged until the last episode and then it knocked my socks off.

  • @asimov13647 I agree, that the first part of the second season was slow, but I felt like it was necessary to the character development and the plot line. We actually have had time to see what all these people are like. For instance, Shane, on the surface we think initially a good man, but as we see him over time, we realize that what Dale said to him is true. He belongs in this world because death is just too good for him. Am I right?

  • @atticus9799 I do not believe Shane is particularly good nor bad. He is adapting to a new situation in the best way he knows how: to be rough, tough, and make hard decisions no matter how unpopular they may be. He holds Rick in contempt because he thinks Rick incapable of making hard decisions. The last episode taught Shane otherwise and demonstrated that Rick was the best person to be in the leadership position.

  • @asimov13647 I see where you are coming from. However, I just don't think that Shane "had" to kill Otis. I think that was a weak minded and heartless thing to do. My husband (Rick) said that Shane didn't need to outrun the Walkers, he only needed to out run Otis. Be that as it may. I think that we may see Shane grow even more deeply as a person as a result of this. I also don't think he will be able to keep it too himself because his conscience may get the better of him in the end. Noreen

  • I for one will be watching. Thank you once again. I don't like scary movies, but listening to you on what it is about I think we will enjoy it very much. :)

  • @255sage This is not scary, not like a slasher, hide in the bushes, mass murderer scary. It is mostly suspenseful, dramatic, thought provoking, end of the world as we know it kind of unsettling. I like the story line, the character development is fabulous and I also like that I have cried almost every episode because I place myself in the situation and wonder how I would deal with it. You have to look at the "walkers" as kind of secondary fall out of the storyline. It's the people I like.
