Personally the soul caliber games are what got me into the fighting genre but it really depends on what you are looking for in a game.

Have you even played it? This game -unlike most fighting games out there- has a rich storyline for each character, the combat system is very complex, you can move around the stage and can actually create your characters, and there are many endings.

Plus, the soundtrack and art style is amazing.
