hi, im new to this kind of music and i was thinking of building an arduinome, but wot kind of kit and gear do you need to run one well? What do you use with this?
Nobody should believe this, it's all sleight of hand. I see these people on the street with their tricky little "computing machines"... and keep walking. If you watch his hands they never actually touch the keys.
I don't know what streets you're walking, but maybe, if the performers are like this guy, you should have a little more respect! Just because it blows your clearly simple mind doesn't mean it's not possible...Google "7up monome" and you can download this software and use it yourself...if your cocky ignorance leaves you with a job and money enough to buy the monome in the first place.
Heh, relax guy. I'm a midi musician being a smartass. If you'd taken two seconds to look at my profile before shooting your mouth off you may have figured that out. The ignorance in this situation is yours. Google "Xanax".
Ahh sorry, I was responding to the comment that you made, not the one you didn't make. I see nonstop shit-talking on the monome, and often from electronic musicians who are married to one method or another...so really, finding you to be a MIDI musician doesn't really invalidate your comment about this. But I guess I should always read a person's mind and find their intentions before I ever respond to anything anyone says. Lesson learned; thanks!!
Figured what I said was so absurd that everyone would see it as funny. But after all the thumbs down, I guess not. Should have never replied to jordan and left it alone.
Again: Thanks for sharing the video casperghost. My first comment about it being a trick was a joke -I own a 256 :]
the price is not 1600 euros! The 64 key monome (like the one in this vid), which now has a built in gyroscope and a wooden case is $500 -that's US Dollars - and the most expensive, with 256 keys is $1400.
tight! been using buzz for 4 years now and a few other programs before that. haven't messed with any monome though. look forward to more of your music.
Amazing... I have to get one of these, that was so cool :-)
I love how the right column, lets you modify all the different patterns and loops :-p turns 64 buttons into 456 (yes 456 not 512 cuz you lose a column)
alright so I'm gonna have to agree and say that was the best monome jam I've ever heard/seen. If you wrote that software yourself, I bow to you, cause that was fucking SICK! How long have you had the monome for?
Congradulations!!! you have earned the award for best monome performance EV-ER!!! i cant wait to try it when its done. Any chance of it hitting the 256?
Ridiculously impressed.
