The Ulster Volunteer Force was the only Division in the entire X Corps to reach all of its objectives on the first day of the Somme. Thousands fell that day to keep us free. Ulster is wherever their Sacred Remains lie. We shall never forget that for all our tomorrows, they gave their today. We are eternally grateful for their courage and their sacrifice.
