hey i bought the case about a few days ago and i was wondering if a dust filter can be installed on the stock side panel?? cuz i bought two 120mm fans and i just wanna keep my case clean!! reply asap -thanks!!
@LivVilaVida Yea if you use 120mm fans can use silverstone dust filters. Attacked them to insides of fans they are great have a review on my channel. If you use 140mm fans then will have to go another rout but can mount them just the same.
@ComputerTechTV thanks man... just ordered two silverstone 120mm dust filters!! man i now have a total of 5 custom fans!! man my case is cools out like crazy..... thanks!!
btw i use 2 120mm cm fan at d top as an intake, and in side panel d lower fan slot. i use also as an intake for v card. and exhaust for d back 120 cm fan also.
I've recently bought a PC with this same case and want to add some more fans to increase airflow. I was going to start with these side fans but can't find appropriate filter material. What is the stuff you're using in this video? Looks perfect.
Also where did you get your fans from? Am I right in saying that the side panel can have 2 x 140mm fans? Can't seem to find CM 140mm fans for sale :S Only 120s.
@jsg072 They do sell 140mm black fans from coolermaster. However I would go with a different company, look for good bearing for low noise and around 1000rpm should be plenty. I order most fans from newegg or drive to Microcenter about 20 mins away. Sold the case I wish I still had it but oh well new case coming by tax time.
The only place I could fit my h70 was at the back 120 fan slot. I have it as intake at the moment but do you think it would be better as an exhaust as I have 2 front intakes, 1 side intake and 2 top exhaust?
What is this material you used for the filtering? I tried many types of filters sold and come up with some solution that drops the air flow but doesn't kill it and filters well. Some filters, like Silverstones plastic one with a little filter net, simply murder the strongest fans flow. I'd prefer simple aluminum ones like they sell everywhere, FrozenCPU, PerformancePCS, etc. The individual ones.
Rick I know somewhere deep inside, you dreaming about oc'ing a 6 core in haf x, ) I have same dream, might actually realise it once i sell my crappy atcs 840 ( hate it) and 920 c0/c1 ( bad oc'er, hate it 2)

@ComputerTechTV
Thanks for the reply.
Why would you suggest going with a different company? :S
Sorry to repeat myself but you missed my question about your filter material. You didn't actually say what it was in the video.
Aw why'd you sell? What case are you getting now?

One crazy thing about that case is the VGA cooler, I could never figure out how that thing mounted.

Is the fan in the middle of your case just standing on your graphics card and not attached in any way?
