Spacewookie2000, what intelligent creatures are you talking about, us, humans? If so, I would say destructive and dumb, more than intelligent, hahahhh...
@VideoKiwi2008 Yes, in general he has produced a lot of nice tracks. I suggest you to listen to "Low Grav Freefall" (which I've uploaded, too) and "Sosacharo".
Ochre has a very characteristic sound and its very recognizable in this beautiful track but (in my opinion) if its sound similar to other artists it's not to BOC at all but to cheju, monoceros, altered tensions...
@bluedraft72 , Ochre should better be compared to Plaid, as if he has substantial influence from the big band, although I think of him as a way better musician and sound designer(possibly subjective). In my opinion, Polestar's "Space expances" could be a great response to Ochre's music. All theese, but(!) monoceros or (esspecially) altered tensions. :)
@OmulDeTinichea , you're right, Plaid influence is very noticeable in ochre's music (specially in this track, sounds like taken from not for threes), anyway it was not my intention to compare his music style (less this track) side by side with monoceros or altered tensions but just saying that my damaged ear finds some similarities in the work of these artist (ie, ochre's circadies & at's testarossa), assuming that people who likes ochre also could find interesting these artists ;)
@bluedraft72 , well, you made some sugestions, so did I. You should really listen to Polestar's music. I'm very fond of his work on "Space expances", as I allready said above. Another reccomendation is Gimmik, but that's another story :) In any case, Toytronic is a good start for those who want to find similarities from Ochre :)
@OmulDeTinichea, I´ve been listening electronic since mid 80', already listened Polestar and really like it (mainly metokinetik), also loved the music made it by haidinger (as gimmik and in AH) and got and listened most of the stuff from legendary labels like warp, skam, n5md, toytronic, static caravan, seed, worm interface, warp, boltfish, expanding, neoi ouija, m-tronik, seed, merck, cactus island, morr... ;)
