xuj22, that's not exactly accurate. There are very, very serious reasons to keep away dangerous things from the people. When cititzens know about, they accept it. So nobody would ever demand full access to reactor-grade U235 or Pu239 - although access to these elements are heavily restricted. (You can't buy uranium from a super-market) We have even more dangerous things, materials can't be longer restricted; but we can restrict access to the knowledge. That's the reason for the secrecy.

I know this may seem a little outlandish but is it possible that Obamas visit to Russia over the past day or two will lead to disclosure between these two countries? I dont know, but does seem a little coincidental that these are the two main countries that people want to see disclosure initiated.
