We were so lucky to have had them in our generation. They can never be again because their time has already come and gone. We are so lucky we got to see them.

Jack Benny was actually an excellent violinist who got great comedy out of pretending to be a bad one. One of the greatest comedians ever.

Watching all these clips from his show makes me wonder how it sounds when he's playing seriously.
I can't find anything aside from his tv show.
......And wouldn't it have been awesome if he'd done a number with Victor Borge?! =D

Liberace really had excellent comic timing.jack Benny never was a very good violinist but it takes some real talent to play badly in just the right way.

Benny was actually a very accomplished violinist. That is part of the humor. Much like him being very generous in real life, and a penny-pinching shnook on the show.

This is one of the first things I watched, when I got on you tube. These two, what a riot, so good as a team. I saw a clip elsewhere on, you tube, with the duo on Liberace's a show. Equally funny! 1969 was the year on the latter.
