@ArizonaMMJ in theory STG is reusable, its whether you want to invest the time an effort to remove all the roots. STG is a straight up hydro media. @SureToGrowers ok i was kinda hoping it would be an alternative to something like Coco and sould be easily rinsed out and cleaned. I know a lot of guys growing in pots and those tiny Rockwool pellets and figured this could do the same. Maybe in granulated form it might work.
I have a question about nutrients use? the question is what if you mix in the nutrients in the water in the wrong order I.E ( add B.C boost first) but you add the other ones first?
oh wow this stuff is great! it costs 4 times the amount of hydroton, and you cannot reuse it. i am using hydroton that is over six years old, i only paid for it once. i cannot find any info on how biodegradable this STG is. I have found one thing to be true. the most informed answer you will get is this " try it out, see if its for you"? in other words, "hey give us your money and dont ask why". if you find a short coming (and there are many) you will be dissmissed as a trouble maker.

I for one would like to know why the emails i have sent regarding your seed start cubes ease of separation or failure too separate at all (required a razor blade) has been fixed? it was really a downer. For the large cost there should be no more effort than separating perforated paper checks.
I agree on the point of re-usability, you are 100% correct. Pay once and re use forever. I went to sure to grow because i wanted something that did not require the preparation that hydroton needed, it lacks the weight, its growth is better, it more gentle on young starts. Only issue i have found with it is quality control, some of the dividable pieces are not cut through perfectly. I have emailed them this concern with picture other than that. STG does what it claims to do.

STG is great stuff! The only addition I would make to their product is a rockwool cover to prevent algae growth, but the air to nutrient solution ratio is amazing.
Is this stuff reusable? Also can it be used in a pot straight up instead of Coco?
