  • @Toekick1- I'm a conservative republican and I love Colbert. When I started watching his show in 07 I started to look at my own party differently and from a realistic standpoint. I now watch Bill O at 8pm and Colbert at 11pm and I'm able to laugh myself to sleep with no hard feelings. ;*)

  • I died at the Phil Ken Sebben autograph request

  • Good to know I am paying these representatives to sit around and laugh with Colbert. Get to work!!!

  • @techRepublican This was an interesting thing to see. Thanks for the upload. I am a little surprised to see someone who i am assuming is a republican upload a colbert video. I'm not sure why, i just kinda thought you guys wouldn't like Colbert so much. Now i'm Curious what young repubs think of The Colbert Report.

  • @toekick1 watch?v=pbCvipi171s&feature=related Glad you asked! Apparently there has been a study done, which showed that conservatives were generally unable to tell that Stephen Colbert was joking on his show, and thought he was serious! Hahahaha

  • Colbert is a cool guy.

Loving the Phil Ken Sebben reference at the end.

  • It's so weird to see Colbert being sincere haha.

  • Who asks Stephen colbert to leave the adults alone with a name like Michaelfondeledme that's not a very adult name. I guess this guys just isn't smart enough to see the genius in colbert.

  • @theheathmaster : Learn how to use punctuation, or just stay in your Mom's basement, playing guitar video games. You too should leave the adults alone.

  • who cars you know what i mean

  • there just trying to get people to watch sesapan because rateings are low

  • @sdavis732010 Are you retarded? Sesapan? I assume you went for Seaspan.

    Which still makes you retarded.

  • @MichaelFondledMe I'll take odds he's considerably more intelligent than you are. Also, he was invited to the hearing

  • @MichaelFondledMe It's because of people like you and your thought process is why nothing ever gets done in congress but arguing.

  • @MichaelFondledMe

Stephen Colbert's character on the Colbert Report *IS* a "self-absorbed tool." He does that on purpose, in order to mock Fox News personalities like Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, and Bill O'Reilly.

Likewise, his testimony today was meant to mock some very ignorant ideas. Also, while he was being silly during the first half of his testimony, his speech became much more serious towards the end, and denser in meaning.

p.s. - what type of screen-name is "Michael Fondled Me?"

  • @CorpusCallosal : either: (i) you dind't listen to his 5 minutes; or (ii) you couldn't understand it. It was never "more serious toward the end." It was all intended as "silly" and an attempt at comedy. Unfortunately, it wasn't either. He is a tool.

Corpus. You are a tool as well. Go back to playing your video games, take Colbert with you. You and Colbert should leave the adults alone.

  • @MichaelFondledMe

    Video games? What the fuck?

either: (i) you have serious self-esteem issues, or (ii) you have serious self-esteem issues.

Stop picking fights on youtube and get an education, breh.

  • @CorpusCallosal : a lack of education is demonstrated by postings that show an inability to comprehend the subject matter (the youtube video itself), and then being unable to post without profanity. But you're 18. Plenty of time to finish up high school (We know you've been held back at least once). Then, in about five years, you can emerge from your Mom's basement and out into the real world. No worries mate - you still have time.

  • @MichaelFondledMe

hahahaha. Wow. I made you mad enough to pick up a thesaurus? What an accomplishment.

Anyway, you don't know me and I don't know you, so let's stop making arbitrary assumptions about each other. For example, I'm not sitting in my Mom's basement - I'm sitting in my college dorm. However, I have a feeling that you're suffering from a textbook case of Freudian Projection. You seem to think that everyone is in their mother's basement, playing video games...

  • @CorpusCallosal : Nope, not mad at all. You're the one who was cursing. I didn't know that community colleges had dorms. You should be studying, not wasting time on youtube. Regurgitating what you learned in last week's Psych 101 course won't be enough to get you your associates degree (which you'll be lucky to obtain in 3.5 years). And nope, I don't play video games in my mom's basement either. Although I was happy to find an Asteroids game in an arcade last week while on vacation.

  • @CorpusCallosal : Oh, and I did confuse you with theheathmaster below when I told you to get back into your mom's basement. His home page brags about his video game exploits. But now that I know that you're a community college student, I should have told you to get back to wasting Mom and Dad's money toiling away at your 2.2 GPA at the local community college. Cheers.

  • @MichaelFondledMe

Ad Hominem is a horrible debate tactic, but even if if one should choose to use it, it would be highly advisable to use some actual facts.

You're obviously a sociopath, but if you could sense people's emotions, you'd clearly see that insults don't hurt when they're entirely fabricated.

2.2 GPA? community college? How oddly specific - and unsurprisingly false. At least I know you're not stalking me.

Try a 3.93 GPA at Cornell. That would be much closer to the truth.

  • @CorpusCallosal

By the way, I told you to STOP making arbitrary assumptions, not to continue doing it at an increased rate. It's almost hilarious. Almost. But mostly sad.

  • @CorpusCallosal : congrats. Cornell is a great school. They even made it into the NCAA tourney last year. My last paralegal was from Cornell. He had a high GPA as well. He made great coffee and sorted my mail with amazing expertise. I'm sure you'll do just as well as he. Regards.

  • @MichaelFondledMe

hahaha. YOU had a paralegal? Someone with the screen-name "MichaelFondledMe?" Someone who spends way too much time on youtube picking fights with people? Someone who plainly has an inferiority complex?

Even if what you're saying has any truth to it, I'm not surprised your paralegal left you. He's obviously moved on to bigger things. A Cornell graduate has better things to do than work for a creep like you.

But we both know that nothing you've said is true.

    Regards.

  • @CorpusCallosal : Why did you post on my channel 5 times within an hour? Obvious obsession. Please leave me alone now. Your crush is not welcome here. You want to be me. I see that, we all see that. Please don't break into my home and boil a pet rabbit. Let me know if a restraining order is necessary.

"A Cornell graduation has better things to do than work for a creep like you" Ummmm... like obsessing over a youtube poster? or getting me coffee?

    Cheers, mate.

  • @MichaelFondledMe

Yep. It's a little creepy when a grumpy stranger harasses you on the internet, isn't it? I'm glad you're starting to see things from other people's perspectives. Maybe you aren't a sociopath, after all.

    [generic sarcastic closing]

  • @MichaelFondledMe Anyone with the youtube name 'michaelfondledme' should not be taken seriously.

  • #AIDS

  • ohhh Phil Ken Sebben

  • "I have nothing against Republicans, Just Republican policies"-The REAL Stephen Colbert

Harvard University Institute of Politics 2006

  • pie

  • just because hes liberal viewer is viewer doesn't mean hes a terrible person. people that judge the character of others based on their political views are idiots.

  • this comment has +12.. bravo youtube. anyway, i think you CAN judge someone's character based on their political views, so i dont think of it as idiotic

  • @droneXA

That's why you're the idiot, and bedside is the "intelligent" one.

  • @juggalomushroom ok, sure, if you cant draw conclusion about someone based on their political views (ie, the person is a conservative, liberal, communist, nazi..) then thats fine, but to me, person's political views say A LOT about their character.

  • @droneXA

I surely can, but you've got to understand that would be a skewed, and possibly incorrect, assumption you would draw. See political views are arranged based on the person's environment, and what they are taught is ok, but not every one takes in and outputs the same way.(i.e. a liberal could be as horrible as a nazi.)

  • @bedsidetrash Google idiot, and you find out that it is greek(ἰδιώτης). "Idiot" originally referred to "layman, person lacking professional skill", "person so mentally deficient as to be incapable of ordinary reasoning". Declining to take part in public life, such as democratic government of the polis(city state), such as the Athenian democracy, was considered dishonorable. "Idiots" were seen as having bad judgment in public and POLITICAL MATTERS.

  • @bedsidetrash So in other words idiots can't have a political point of view, or have an opinion about politicians. 12 thumbs up for a oxymoron, the world must be full of idiots.

  • @bedsidetrash Why? Eventually those political views become policies, and they have a bearing on real life. When a person's character should be judged should not be a hard and fast rule.

  • @bedsidetrash I think whether someone supports the American Nazi Party is a good judge of character.

  • Well, there're some intelligent comments here..unbelievable.

SC is so funny and charming, I love him!:)

  • you know whats great, this country allows people like those below me to criticize the liberalviewer, and allows the liberalviewer to post them...whoever says america sucks should consider the rights, and freedoms we have and take for granted.

  • the sad part is that liberalveiwer has tons of support, he needs to do somthing else with his life than bashing fox

  • I love him so much<3

  • Great vid - but I'm with Liberal Viewer: can we know who/when/where this was?

  • Interesting video. When/where is it from? Colbert was talking about the Dubai ports deal as if it were recent so it sounds like sometime in 2006... Is he talking to congressional aides? Anyway, I enjoyed watching it, so

thanks for uploading this video :-)

  • The "hehe" after "I youtube, you decide" is a little creepy

  • so being in my 30's is too old to watch the Colbert Report?

  • so because i am in my 30's

i should not have a sense of humor then or be entertained by satire? i guess it is bad i enjoy the Daily Show and South Park, as well...

in your personal opinion: what should i be watching?

  • Glad to know there is someone who knows what all democrats feel. It would take one to know one.

  • Its funny to see all these anti libral viewer comments. If you notice most of his videos give a logical explination for his argument. Most of the posts against him dont argue with facts against his POV they just shout names and nonsense like Bill O or hannity. I guess we know where they get their news. Drug addicts college drop outs and sexual harrasers

  • yeah...........don't insult organizations like this without any proof. It makes you look like a moron. shit, don't insult ANYONE without any proof.

  • So is rush hannity inghram and oriley. Only theres have been proven. Once again why dont u argue against his points instead of shouting dumbass names. This guy isent the enemy he is giving his opinion in a resonable and respectfull manner.

  • It's pretty rich of you to decry unsubstantive comments and then follow that up with ad hominems rejecting someone's character rather than the substance of their ideas. Keep up the consistent work.
