i'm replying to your messages not to judge you, but to persuade you to stop and question things, be critical of what this society/culture in which we live is telling you, and how those messages get into the "christian" mindset. if you're passionate about Jesus, which i think you are, you need to think what it meant for Jesus to say and do the things He did in His lifetime.. the way he questioned/challenged not only the political authorities, but also the religious ones. dude... look outside the Western bubble.. he is talking about Jesus, and what true "christianity" should be about.. i don't know what christianity you follow, but the one that we should be striving for is one that looks outside of the selfishness of our society
... if the current way of christianity were the right way, don't you think we would look a lot different than the rest of the people in our culture? instead we just assimilate and don't do much that's very different. don't you think there would be a lot less injustice? a lot less apathy?
