That touristy crap of Universal Studios and Hollywood and the rest are a total waste of time.
If you wanna experience LA go to the beach communities like Santa Monica and Redondo and Manhattan Beach.
Check out Pasadena - you'll be surprised. Go to East LA - NOT KIDDING. You ain't gonna get robbed..... unless you're flashing franklins all over the place.
Check out the "old" Downtown". LA of the 20s and 30s.
Go to the Westside and see ugly ostentatious wealth being flaunted.
Unfortunately Los Angeles is the only place you can really have a chance to 'make it' if you work hard. The air is stuffy, the pollution content is awful, but it's the only place to be for acting/music or whatever other resource you need. I'd never want to live there though.
I disagree. While San Diego and the Bay Area are gorgeous, LA has some areas that are really nice to look at. Griffith Park, Los Feliz, Silverlake, the Hollywood Hills, the Valley south of 101 (Studio City, Sherman Oaks, etc.) all are pretty and very un-urban-- which can be a blesssing or a curse depending on what you look for in a city. LA actually has the tallest, most rugged mountains in and/or around it of all the coastal California cities.
apparently this is real. if you post this on 10 videos you will get asked out or kissed. but if you break the chain you will see a dead girl tonight srry didnt start this!!!!!
CA is a rockstar in the US and L.A. is one of the big stadiums. There is something here for everyone, every age, and every ethnicity and lifestyle. Ya gotta love that. There is a reason why it is this way. IT WORKS! When other states sleep ... they dream they are Cali. Where else can you go to the desert in the morning, ski the mtn slopes all day, and drink a beer and catch the sunset on the beach. I do it whenever I can. Another great day in LA.
someone said L.A. has great scenery? where are you from that made L.A. look aesthetically pleasing?!
L.A. is a sprawled out, nonsensical, disconnected mess. Even our own mayor basically said this. L.A. has to have the most depressing, nonsensical downtown of any major city in the U.S. You have to drive to have a life; public transit here is depressing as all hell. I went without a car for over 2 months there and I'd like to forget it... holy shit.
Public transit? What's that? That is one of the worst things about our city. Traffic here sucks and the spread doesn't help. San Francisco has awesome public transport. LA just never got that down due to the spread and, well, we love our cars far too much. It would be great if we had transit like San Fran. but we don't and it is part of the life here. Would seriously suck without a car here. Good god! I can only imagine and you went 2 mos? Eeek But, we don't suck. :o) We love LA.
yes jobs in LA. 1. break into innocent peoples houses with a mask and a gun.
2. approach gang members and tell them you need some money. As for living there, i hope that you dont mind being RAPED by people of different races and blamed for it because you are, by default, a white racist.
That settles it. I am moving to Los Angeles. I need a bigger city and, since moving to New York is probably a little far-fetched at the moment, I will take my chances in LA. Any good hints/suggestions about finding jobs in this area?
YOU cant name ANY CITY IN AMERICA THAT WAS IMPROVED BY FILTHY MEXICANS.
THE ONLY THING MEXICANS DO IS BRING THEIR FILTHY VIOLENT CORRUPT CULTURE INTO AMERICAN CITIES AND TURN THEM TO TRASH.
MEXICAN GANGS HIDE BEHIND TECHNICALITIES IN COURT AFTER COMMITING RAPE AND MURDER AND THEY BRAG THAT THEY RULE THE STREETS. THEY DO. WHY DO WHITE PEOPLE LIKE THAT. STUPID I GUESS.
THIS VIDEO ISNT GOING TO WARN YOU ABOUT HOW YOU CAN GET YOUR ASS SHOT BY CHICANO GANG FOR TURNING DONW THE WRONG STREET
I grew up in LA in the 50's, it was the best big city in America. Now it's a shit hole, most of LA looks like Tijuana. Or Africa. We can thank the politicians that passed the 1965 immigration act for that.
Obviously you have either not gone to these or have no sense of humor because to say the Dearly Departed Tours sucks, says more about your taste than anything else. It's a hoot. Very out of the ordinary. My 17 year old daughter, myself (48) and my mom 74 ALL had a great time. It is something that all ages enjoy. Try it. You'll like it. LOL I have taken the tour with various friends and family, 7 times. Every single person LOVED it and it is never quite the same tour. Live a little.
hi, where are u from ? I'm considering to go there and try to find a job and to stay 4 about a year. I work as a tennis coach. what would be my chances , could u guess ? What was the job that was offered to u?
I'm from NJ and lived in NYC for a few years as a kid. I think there are high chances with any professional jobs. One of the keys with LA is networking, because it's one of the biggest metro areas in the country. The job I was offered was actually what my sister got in North Carolina- a live-in nanny kinda job. I was hanging out with this sweet family in Santa Monica and talking about my experience working with kids. You can probably find any kind of job in LA. My greatest passion is music!
