you guys realize you can just import this for like $30 and it will work on a US N64 right? u just got make a few cuts on the plastic to make it fit and it works, no region lockout.

I think plenty of people realize that fact.

However, some people no longer have their N64s or are unwilling to buy another for whatever reason, let alone take the time to modify it.

Besides, the Wii version is only $12, looks sharper, and experiences none of the slowdown the original does. Only gripe is the controls, which never really feel like a perfect fit to the Cube controller.

I've got the game now myself. I've had it for a few days. It's a great game I must say, but a little over-rated. I wouldn't call it GODLY or anything of that nature, but it's pretty cool.

Yeah, it is too short, although considering it's difficulty and the arcade like structure, I'd say the length does it justice.

All in all I really like the game. I'm currently at hard mode myself.

The co-op is a joke. One player moves the character (strafing and jumping) while the other aims and fires the weapon. They could have left that out and no one would have missed it. Does remind me of the spaceship level in Gunstar Heroes though.

Yeah...I think you might need a passthrough cart so that the cartridge fits in the N64 properly though. I guess this game is actually coming to the European Wii Virtual Console, so I bet it will come out in the US eventually too.

I hope to buy this game some day. I fuckin' LOVE it! It looks better than the most recent Iron Savior album, and that's pretty damn good. I'd spend 20 bucks and buy it than save 300 bucks and buy a wii, then spend another 10 bucks on the VC version.

There was never a light gun on the N64, its controlled by the normal controller. Its made by Treasure, and alot of the members from treasure were originally from konami so sure, why not. Also they still colaborate with konami on Contra games. At least I know they did on Hard corps. Dunno about Neo or Shattered Soldier.

Why wait for something that is likely to never happen? Japanese or us N64 consoles are cheap and the price of this game has fallen drastically over the past few years. Before i would spend 10 bucks on a download i would pay a little extra to get the cartridge version with box and instructions.

Nah, I'm not returning back on the N64 cause it hurts my eyes when I play games on it (*the framerate is generaly too slow). If they're re-making it for the Wii's VC (and a lot of gaming sites suggest this as innevitable), it will must likely be upgraded with a better framerate and all, like all the other Virtual-N64's games. I like the Wii and the VC and I feel like I don't need anymore my old Nintendo systems.
