I don;t think even back then any one would have said Shelly Long was anything but annoying, but in this film its ok because thats the character. Its like the actress Kate Capshaw in Indiana Jones and the temple of doom who, conincidentally, Speilberg was banging at the time. Everyone said she was probably one of the most annoying female leads ever, but the character was supposed to be annoying!
