I remember watching the break dancers in the Queen street mall in Brisbane Australia back in 1983 when i was only 8 years old and they would dance to this song and be doing the boogaloo and electric moves crowds of people and lots of us kids would stand around watching them and i would always try and copy the moves and practice at home on a peice of cardboard

i dont know the specifics as to why some werent in beat street.. it was probably jus the casting director.. i know buck 4 was into drugs like frosty freeze... the only ones i really knew perosonally were ken swift ... fables.. normski ...frosty and crazy legs... the others i jus saw dance...

tnx for dat. i dont know rsc but i agree with u about crazy legs...he seemed to me to be the least talented yet he is the one who promotes rsc heavily and i think he has excluded the originals like ken swift for his own ends.any reason why normski stopped and also what happened to buck 4 and kuriyaki?. any insights into kuriyaki - his bouncing windmill into a backspin in beatstreet is still phenomenal to this day and he pulled it out infront of the cameras for the whole world to see.

yea crazy legs swears he is the sole creator of rsc. crazy legs is from the bx but the majority of rsc was from the upper west side, hense why the goat park on 97th in amsterdam is also known as rsc park. Normski lived across the hall from me on 90th when i was young. I think he just grew out of breakin once he had his kids. He needed to support them. He has a brother named scottie who's a high rank in the zulu nation.

and like i said i think buck 4 started hittin the pipe and i never really knew kuriyaki. i knew who he was but i didnt know him like the others. and personally i think ken swift was the freshest out of rsc... maybe im jus bias ... but if your ever in nyc go to 90th in colombus. gotter riverside.. thats where alot of battles and shows happened.. i was young watchin them all.. but at least i witnessed history.

i read somewhere that 2 other guys created rsc and then crazy legs took over the mantle...one was called jimmy....i only saw ken swift properly in beatstreet and he was okay but kuriyaki in the battle and in other rsc clips just looks top drawer...his moves are always high quality...he looks to be well above everyone else. big shame about him and buck 4 passing away...
