Odst is based in-between halo2 and3 that's y in halo 3 they have already dug up anything so it goes like this.

Halo2 they arrive at earth

Halo3 odst they are digging

Halo 3 they've dug it up and activated it hope thus helps :)

Best to worst halos in my opinion:

Halo 2>Halo combat evolved>Halo reach>Halo 3>Halo ODST> Halo wars.

Halo combat evolved's campaign gets boring after a while, Halo combat evolved has an amazing system link though which is better than halo 3. Halo 2 had the best multiplayer of all halo's, a fun campaign to mess around on because of all the glitches and the halo 2 skulls were the best. ODST had a good firefight, reach was good all around, and i am not a fan of RTS's like halo wars.

@Suraya293 ODST wasn't crappy, the problem was ODST should not be considered a game, it would've been much better as an expansion pack for halo 3. Reach isn't that bad, why do you hate it so much???

Just take away armor abilities and reach would be better, and I prefer the halo 2 and 3 ranking system which was skill based instead of the experience based one in reach.

@cooldude8260 OMFG dude its like the whole point of the entire series! basicly the forerunners crafted these "Halo's" to save the universe from the flood. Doing so it wiped out all existence of the forerunners and flood and all other life. The flood servived deep withen some part of the universe and DNA of every life form but the flood was stored in a massive data base via halo legends. Humans are ancestors of the forerunners and are called "Reclaimers".
