Hey everyone, Im Joey Moujalli from sydney australia.
I won the fastest hands category at the summer NAMM 2011. please join my "drum against cancer - beating cancer with a beat" facebook group. please if you do that it will help me and the WFD to raise money for young children with cancer.
Apparently this is "the petrucci buddy" who will enter the dream theater ... just because he played with Steve Vai, John Petrucci and tb played with go ... "friendship factor" Aquiles Priester is the best we have and that's it! The spread of Achilles is to see these songs being performed and with extreme perfection. And not a phony record with two notes. Mike Mangini, make music with the entire record, not noisy, silly! Aquiles Priester talent of Brazil.
@AlanR500 Priester was useless at the auditions. Had no f-ing clue when he was faced with a odd time riff.... Don´t compare him to Master Mangini.. .. please
he is muscle twitch tapping..this is NOT a true drum stroke-shame on the fame of it all..lock it in and make it shake into a fast spasm..you can develop this cheap trick into lengthy endurances..i just started 2 months ago and i am up to 15 seconds and between 220 and 230 ish it burns at first, then it sort of numbs out.i will get my taps up to speed one day soon.Rght Hand.
All of this pad drumming only slightly applies to REAL drumming. That's like saying the fastest runner is the best tennis, soccer or football player. There is SOOOOOOO much more to drumming than this, and the FACT is, the drums don't rebound NEARLY as much as the pad. Regardless this is sick and I know I would be between 800 and 850 BPM if I went in cold right now. Maybe one day I can break the 900 and go for the 1,000 but 1,247 is way out of reach for me or anyone really.
and what with that grip??? he holds his sticks with his fingertips? total buzz! im surprised the judges cant see that....strokes should be a mimimum of 1 inch in height! any buzz regersters as 6 to 9 stokes...so you do the math!!!
@francodrummer1 the WFD analyses the run and watch the videos before posting and confirming a record score. I'm Joseph Moujalli, newest member of the WFD family and also the latest champion winning the summer NAMM 2011 WFD
he is buzzing this roll in between strokes here and there!....and 1 buzz equals 6 to 9 strokes on the drumometer...so worlds fastest drummer...well you make the call??
dude i was touted as the next " einstein" and im also holding numeroud degrees in physics, biochemistry, mathematics and the human mind. and by theory, 12 47 single strokes is impossible by the human species. so i win!
Who cares. I know a lot of people with "numeroud" (... good start) degrees. And I can't really say that they are smarter than the people without degrees that I know.
@dinnersd Ha, no you don't dumbass. If you say "i'm the next Einstein" that automatically makes you an egotistical fuckhead, And if you were, you'd know there's no d in numerous...
when mangini does hands 60 second rund the sticks are like a cm or so off the head of the pad and he goes 1200+ Tom Grosset and Matt Smith both get the stick about 2 inches of the head of the pad at full speed and their both not far of the 1200. so stick height isnt much really if you look at it that way. Its jsut endurance and technique
Stick height is part of technique. If you lift the sticks higher, you have put more energy in the motion of hitting the head and lifting the stick back up (lifting is probably not even necessary). Imagine you lift the sticks above your head, it would make a big difference. But not only have you hit the head harder when the sticks go higher, when the sticks go higher you have to travel a bigger distance to get back to the head.
keeps making me think of the old myth about gary thomas (berzerker drummer for dissimulate) claiming he could play 19 bps in one hand - physically impossible but it would be so cool if someone could pull that off for just a few seconds - it would make me respect the berzerker even more too if they made a song with such speeds.
I swear Mike Mangini is human. A human with the hands of a god. Oh, and the feet of a god. Also the endurance of a god. Wait, maybe he's a god. That would explain his superhuman ability.
he's basically doing what everyone does, just really really close to the head, which makes sense, less space between the head makes you go faster, plus hes blisteringly fast to begin with
i am pretty much certain that mangini did that reporter chick, they were flirting it up.

Hi everyone,
I won the WFD competition this year in Austin, TX and I won the fastest hands division.
I managed to get 1194 single strokes in 1 minute which labels me as the new 16 and under record holder and THIRD FASTEST DRUMMER in the world.
If you're interested, check out my videos.
Thanks,
Tom
