I don't recommend the wisker biscuit. Mine just snap broke when I dry fired. I'm thinking the plastic is too fragile for survival situations. I'd go with the Pocket Hunter or sling bow adapter rather than the biscuit.

Replace the band with silver thera-band, which you can find on eBay dirt cheap. It's the most powerful of the tubular type bands (made for gym equipment that doesn't use weights etc). It'll give your arrows some serious punch.

Anyone wondering what size Whisker Biscuit to get, it depends on what you want to do. Since it's not a bow, smaller and lighter = faster, which is desirable, but where I am, medium size are most common and the only size to get screw on fishing heads for. Do your research.

Is it just the whisker biscuit replacement or the mount and everything??? Because all you need is the replacement.  The Walmart here was selling the one with the mount and whisker biscuit for around that price. And howdy neighbor! lol

ive made 1 of these slingbows but only using the metal ring like in Daves first attempt. Not sure the whisker biscuit would be worth the extra $ as it works fine and i'll be using it as a normal slingshot 90% of the time anyway + there not easy to get in the UK.

I ordered the large right handed model. I hope its not too large. I was conserned that the smaller models would not allow the arrow to align with the bands and patch. I'll let you know how it goes. Is Dave gone now? No posts for a few days. I need a wilderness fix. Went scouting last Sunday saw deer, coyote and bear sign. Also found some squirels and located there nesting tree. Great fun!

Yea Dave is at Dirt Time in California right now. And let me know how that large size works. Mine is the medium size one. I love mine.. Made 8 arrows already and lost one.. lol But man I havent had this much fun with a sling shot ever.

So i learned that the size is the hole in the wisker not how large the wisker is.lol. This is the most powerful sling shot I have ever owned. We went out scouting last Sunday and saw some bear sign, deer tracks, and some squirels. Dident get any game but, had a great time.

Hey dude good vid .Academy sports has the black bands for less then $3.00.Ive got the wisker biscuit on my compound bow and after a while your fletching will start to seperate from the shaft so apply some superglue to the front of the fletching to secure them.Carolina archery products makes mine and i called to complain about the problem and this is what they told me and i works for a good while.....Hope this will help.....Steve G from S.C.
