  • repton 3d = minecraft?

  • why not just a iBBCMirco emulator (or iArchimedies)

  • @walter0bz

    Yes indeed!!

  • I grew up with Repton 1 2 3 and the others upto Repton Infinity. Amazing that I can now take Repton everywhere I go. I've been playing this game for 25 years (im 31) and I'll be playing it for 25 more.

  • New graphics are awesome.

  • I LOVE this game! When I found it in the app store I almost pee'd myself with excitement. I'm soooo sad. lol.

I am, however, completely stuck!! Any repton geniuses out there who have completed "The Vault".. plz plz help me!! I can get all around the level with ease, but get stuck after I have to collect all the unlocked gems.

  • Hi there! glad you are enjoying the game... it can be a real head scratcher at times! The best place to look for help with levels is to post on the facebook fan page (facebook/irepton) and the community there should be able to help you!

  • I used to love the repton games, around the world in 40 screens and that one where you could be a kid or an old git.haha i must get this game :)

  • iRepton iRepton is now AVAILABLE to buy in the Apple App store

  • Looks pretty cool. I'm wondering how the controls will work on the iphone touchscreen. This video doesn't show that. Guess I'll have to try the app when it's out!

  • iRepton uses the screen as a virtual joystick making control simple via gestures. You can touch anywhere on the screen to move repton around and we have made it simple to perform complex moves like a triple repton shuffle! Either hold you finger down or swipe your finger around the screen (my preferred method!). Time & monster speed have been tweaked specially to take into account the touch interface. We spent large amounts of time play testing every level to make sure this was "just right!" :)

  • Are you this game is played on a BBC Micro? The graphics here are much to smooth. It looks 16-bit, not 8-bit. This looks more like it could be being played on a BBC Electron or even an Archimedes.

  • Thanks for the kind comments regarding the smoothness of the graphics. As per the title of the video, this version of Repton is for the 32-bit iPhone / iPod Touch. It is a remake of the 80's classic Repton. The graphics and sounds have been enhanced to support the iPhone's 32-bit platform. However if you select "retro mode" from the settings menu of the game, it will change the game to be a pixel for pixel match to the original 8-bit BBC Micro graphics and sounds.

    hope you enjoy!

  • I remember the original well, and this looks like a fantastic remake - can't wait for it to be approved on the app store!
