Ive been here before o.0 go to Stony Creek Cave till the very end until you reach a waterfall either use the wirlwind sprint shout or try and jump on the left side of the rocks. once you got there follow the path and you'll end up back there and then it should take you to dwemmer place called BlackReach.

I'm currently investigating another way to have a different reaction from the strange orb. After it flies around in circles around the outside of the cage, you might have to be outside with it, and try to touch it as it flies by. Please reply with any comments you may have upon this matter.

There is more to this place than just this one part. I figured out what I like to calll, "part 2" of this room. After you have touched the strange orb, wait at the far end of the cage away from the entrance and jump as soon as it flips. You'll land back on it and then activate it again. Something else happens. This may be something.

Well, that's not a hidden location, just not a ruins used for any main or radiant quests. But, I do agree that it was a weird idea of the programmers to put into the game since it doesn't do anything other than drop you into the back of Stony Creek Cave.

i was going to blackreach via the ruin part near the winterhold college, when i went inside, within the first load area, there was this dead guy near this barred door. i read his journal and it said he had seen "a small humanoid figure, possibly an undiscovered automaton" beyond the bars, there was bloodon the floor under the door, possible proof there was a dwemer dude in there??????

nah m8, i don't know whether you've come across them yet, but he was talking about the Falmer, they used to be snow elves until they were enslaved by the Dwemer. the dwemer fed them with a certain poisen that made them blind, they grew evil, (obviously)

when the Dwemer dissapeared the Falmer took over their ruins, now they have but one desire...

to destroy the surface world and all who dwell there!
