I had a wry grin at the contributions below. One can argue that commiunism doesn't work but in the present crisis I think it's very hard to claim that capitalism works either. Also bear in mind that while us ordinary folk are suffering austerity those who caused this mess viz the bankers are still recieving their huge salaries and massive bonuses.

Guys, remember that Communism only works in theory. Not one Communist state ever succeed in lasting for more than about 150 years, and that was Lenin's type of Communism, which was somewhat like extreme socialism, rather than Stalin communism which was completely corrupt and ineffective. Also Stalin was mad, and needed to die. Lenin was very sane, but again Communism only works in theory.

@FreeMan1355 you're right, the communist's goals are practically impossible "creating a world with no borders and classes" and the communism practice was mislead by their leaders (Stalin for example), communism is supposed to be the people's ideology but the fact is pretty rhetorical, leaders became the "capitalists" in communist countries, and the people chocked under constant propaganda.

1) Ah, the idea of the underclass. I believe social revolution may, at first, be held back by them (due to their reliance on the state) but eventually they will see that an Anarchist society can provide a much better safety net and help with disability for them then elitist bureaucracies. I hold the Conflict Perspective on welfare and view it as a tool to make the underclass permanently dependent on the state, holding them back.
