I really think tna has really good talent but it seems they do more skits and less wrestling. I want to see beer money, motor city machine guns, and more of mr anderson. Well its worth a shot atleast to compete hell they say tha same thing about ROH and having it on Monday nights RIGHT BEFORE Raw and if they didnt think it was a threat I have heard once or twice of tha announcers calling ROH "that small indy fed or bingo hall" ala ECW back in tha day.Vince believe it or not was doing tha same thing in tha mid 80's and 90s by taking established stars and repacking them or whatever check out AWA USWA etc hell even some people from WCW he tried to do it with then.

actually no, i've listened to a shoot interview by kurt, and he was working with the company with the pain meds thing, and vince didn't want him to go to rehab so he didn't, but kurt was banged up and was burnt out, he said that he just couldnt take the travel shedule anymore but eventually he'd like to go back to vince. and hardy was actually given leave cause he had neck issues, and a herniated disc in his back and his contract had expired before he was caught with the pain pills in his house.

Becouse they are not competition for WWE right now, they draw 3x more ratings from RAw, almost same at NXT and Superstars, and higher on smackdown. They also draw far bigger numbers on PPV and commercials.

AsheDarkthorne, it's quite a stretch to call RVD lazy, the guy busts his ass in the ring. He was never as over as Michaels or Austin, however he has quite a following and is a good talker (when given the chance). He might not be a good storyteller but he can work an exciting match with a unique style (which is lacking in today's wrestling). However, he needs a Fonzie to really excel though. Fonzie and RVD played off each other very well with Fonzie's rage and RVD's cool demeanor.
Actually it is not quite a stretch really pay attention to his "work" and you will see his work is no where near as good as people make him out to be in comparison to any of the other ECW originals who did bust their asses and never got stuff half as good as RVD the only reason he has a following is for the stretch and splits nothing more. as for a talker man i know surfer dudes with more personality then RVD promos. As I stated his kicks and punches are NOT believable cant tell a story.
He's a spot guy, but he can work a match without weapons (unlike Sabu for example). In a lot of ways I'd agree with you. He isn't a sympathetic babyface and he would have a hard time ever being a real heel. His style is more laid back but it works for his character. However he does sell well and has a lot of fire which are important in getting over. He has got over outside of the Arena despite doing things differently than others and Heyman mentioned that in the Rise and Fall doc.
I agree he is a great "Spot guy" will never take away from that but as for bringing psychology to a match he just does not have it and the only reason people mark out for him is his high-spot. In ECW it was a closed atmosphere so people routed for the lil guys in there because they felt it was theirs hence why he blew up the way he did there but honestly psychology is what matters and others like Jericho and Benoit and Tazz even made their matches better because of what they could do w/o spots
i agree some what but RVD is a true entertainer he goes out there and gives it his best during every match, and i would say that from a psychological aspect to their matches that randy orton is currently the best in putting more psychology into his matches than any one else, randy tells a story while in the ring, there need to be more superstars like orton.
If his popularity was limited to ECW I'd agree with you but RVD got over outside of ECW. Jericho is very good but Benoit was extremely bland on the mic. He was only over because he could wrestle a good technical match, his headbutt off the top, and he came across stiff. Taz was ECW's Goldberg (came before him too). He never got over outside of there. Frankly, the wrestler with the best psychology in ECW was Raven, he also barely bumped.
But his popularity was limited he was never as over as a world Champion outside of ECW and what did he do when he did get to be champion he screwed up and got too stoned to be the head of the company and was stripped and belittle by the company that offered him the chance. RVD can fly yes but still the only way he carries a story is with whoever he is with to carry the load. He is not reliable and another reason to "lighten" TNA if they give him a run will not make a difference. He will blow it.

I hope so because I thought tha TNA show on Jan.4th was way better than RAW eventho it did have one of my favorite wrestlers in Bret Hart.I think they need to stop with tha WCWish skits from tha past and do what TNA was gettin momentum from that is great great match and push tha homegrown talent first.We all know tha established wrestlers can go or hell some of em even cant but still push tha younger talent

RVD's and Kurt Angle's matches are a reason to watch TNA but the rest of TNA is so cheap and cheesy, sorry, I just can't stand it.
I'll stick with DragonGate, WWE and a little bit of ROH

Becouse they are not competition for WWE right now, they draw 3x more ratings from RAw, almost same at NXT and Superstars, and higher on smackdown. They also draw far bigger numbers on PPV and commercials.

yea but i don't think vince wrestling again is spur of the moment, i think vince is wrestling because hogan and flair are at tna, and of course wwe isn't going to advertise it cause then they're advertising for tna in the process and showing that they're afraid that tna could challenge them and have a better product then them

i don't think so vince is right not commenting on tna moving to monday nights on his shows. if he comments on it, it works as an advertisement to TNA, and it shows that hes scared that they might have a better product, and might be competition, but competition is good for wrestling and it will come soon enough, but vince is definatly thinking about it i don't think its just a couinsidence that he wrestles the same night that hogan and flair are wrestling.

Unless he figured everybody, well, at least the Internet wrestling community know RVD before this video knew was a lock. Maybe they have another surprise planned? Not as pumped as I was for Janruary 4th but should be interesting.

Have you ever noticed that when the WWE has a return planned like Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels or Hulk Hogan they advirtise it the week before? Listen MatRat the truth hurts the guy cant work to save his life and the only comment you care to mention is the pot. AsheDarkthorne, it's quite a stretch to call RVD lazy, the guy busts his ass in the ring. He was never as over as Michaels or Austin, however he has quite a following and is a good talker (when given the chance). He might not be a good storyteller but he can work an exciting match with a unique style (which is lacking in today's wrestling). However, he needs a Fonzie to really excel though. Fonzie and RVD played off each other very well with Fonzie's rage and RVD's cool demeanor.

Actually it is not quite a stretch really pay attention to his "work" and you will see his work is no where near as good as people make him out to be in comparison to any of the other ECW originals who did bust their asses and never got stuff half as good as RVD the only reason he has a following is for the stretch and splits nothing more. as for a talker man i know surfer dudes with more personality then RVD promos. As I stated his kicks and punches are NOT believable cant tell a story.

He's a spot guy, but he can work a match without weapons (unlike Sabu for example). In a lot of ways I'd agree with you. He isn't a sympathetic babyface and he would have a hard time ever being a real heel. His style is more laid back but it works for his character. However he does sell well and has a lot of fire which are important in getting over. He has got over outside of the Arena despite doing things differently than others and Heyman mentioned that in the Rise and Fall doc.

I agree he is a great "Spot guy" will never take away from that but as for bringing psychology to a match he just does not have it and the only reason people mark out for him is his high-spot. In ECW it was a closed atmosphere so people routed for the lil guys in there because they felt it was theirs hence why he blew up the way he did there but honestly psychology is what matters and others like Jericho and Benoit and Tazz even made their matches better because of what they could do w/o spots

i agree some what but RVD is a true entertainer he goes out there and gives it his best during every match, and i would say that from a psychological aspect to their matches that randy orton is currently the best in putting more psychology into his matches than any one else, randy tells a story while in the ring, there need to be more superstars like orton.

If his popularity was limited to ECW I'd agree with you but RVD got over outside of ECW. Jericho is very good but Benoit was extremely bland on the mic. He was only over because he could wrestle a good technical match, his headbutt off the top, and he came across stiff. Taz was ECW's Goldberg (came before him too). He never got over outside of there. Frankly, the wrestler with the best psychology in ECW was Raven, he also barely bumped.

But his popularity was limited he was never as over as a world Champion outside of ECW and what did he do when he did get to be champion he screwed up and got too stoned to be the head of the company and was stripped and belittle by the company that offered him the chance. RVD can fly yes but still the only way he carries a story is with whoever he is with to carry the load. He is not reliable and another reason to "lighten" TNA if they give him a run will not make a difference. He will blow it.
