  • i love u man,......ur heart is clean, n ur soul is pure bro.....luv ya....from uk, england, London City!!

  • Fear of people that blow themselves in public places up is not irrational. A phobia is an irrational fear, Some idiot created a term that doesn't make any sence.

  • @PolticiansLie There ARE as many Muslim terrorists as Christian terrorists. Oklahoma Bombing. Waco. The Crusaders were the first real terrorists. Linking Islam with blombers IS an irrational fear, hence, you are Islamophobic, and not wanted here. SAY NO TO HATE SPEECH!

  • @bundangbear Did you ever hear the story about the Amish suicide bomber? Didn't think so. I know a death cult when I see one. Say no to willful ignorance for the sake of political correctness.

  • @PolticiansLie I live close to AMISH. Know what they do with sickly daughters? They let them die. I know frist hand. So do Mennonites. Christianity is a death cult. Again, your xenophobia belies your lack of intelligence.

  • @bundangbear So you would agree that the Amish and Janes don't blow themselves up? Why do you think it's just the Muslims that are blowing themselves up in public places?

  • @PolticiansLie No. The fist suicide car bombing in all history was by a Jew in 1947 in Israel.

You're not going to run your propaganda on my page. Sorry. Make your own vids.

  • @bundangbear Do you actually think that all religions are the same or do you understand that these are very different belief systems?

  • @bundangbear You really don't want to go that route. The entire western history of colonialism AND the crusades doesn't hold a candle to the sheer brutality of the Islamic conquest of the middle east.

  • @oldfartslongboarding You're the SAME person! I'm a Youtube partner and Google shareholder, and I can see your IP address!

  • @i5itint3ll3ct You post the SAME spam on EVERY page without even watching the vids. So, no, you're not allowed to post here, and your comments truly not worth reading. Salaam. Shalom. Peace.

  • It's not that it's made up you cretin. It's the definition that's flawed, or at least the connotations of its meaning. Islamaphobia is describing the hatred or fear of a religious ideology as irrational, a phobia, something requiring psychiatric treatment. Stalin had the same idea, putting opponents in mental institutes as lunatics.

Your "I don't want those 'Muslims' living near me" example is an example of bigotry against Muslims. You can hate Islam but not Muslims.

  • @RuudVanDrijver

    Cont..

You can hate Totalitarianism/Communism but like N. Koreans, Chinese or any group of people. You can hate Christianity but maybe not your Christian next door neighbours.

There is no Communisaphobia, Fascismaphobia or Socialismaphobia, the very idea is nutty. So why is it considered necessary to have a word for having a hatred, dislike, fear or aversion to Islam (not MUSLIMS!!!)?

  • @RuudVanDrijver I think I have Bundangbearvoiceaphobia! It's a bit like Familyguy'svoiceaphbia but worse.. HELP!!!

  • @RuudVanDrijver When you make such ad hominem attacks, you pretty much lose any standing you thought you had.

  • @bundangbear Go get a sense of humour mate!

You didn't answer the points I made though.

Why is it considered necessary to have a word for having a hatred, dislike, fear or aversion to Islam (not MUSLIMS!!!)? "I don't want those 'Muslims' living near me" is an example of bigotry against Muslims. You can fear/hate/dislike/have an aversion to Islam but not towards Muslims..

As for the colonialism/imperialism remark what century are you in? No British person thinks in that way now!

  • @RuudVanDrijver Btw, it was a British Empire not an English one. England never had an empire.

  • @RuudVanDrijver You really don't know what you're trying to talk about. The suffix -"phobia" can also mean "an AVERSION TO." We have Sinophobia, Anglophobia, Francophobia, Lusophobia, and Indophobia. Those are related to ethnic groups, and, while we know Islam is not an ethnic group, it is this very Imperialistic, colonialist ENGLISH mindset that creates the word "Islamophobia." Your very tautology is fundamentally flawed by your delusions of colonialism and Imperialism.

  • i agree with you, but still, 9 minutes and 40 seconds to get 1 point across? i just watched to 1:08 and got your opinion, anything else is irrivelant.

  • @acronach Do you REALLY think you spell "irrelevant" like that? Wow, just wow!

  • DrKing Never said Get Violent&Kill! He followed Jesus! Islam isnt same as TheBible! DrKing never taught that all religions are equal! Jesus Never tempted us with "FreeSex"! & "How to get 72 Virgins"! &muslims distort Dr King's Dream w/ Islamophobia Lies! For not allowin the mosque built at GroundZero! We Never had problems like "9/11" in USA until after the "Gay90's&GayMarriage"! &approx a year after the Gay90's ended we saw 9/11 allowed to happen in America! So what would DrKing say? WWJD?

  • It was Brothers like Dr King that helped to remind us the Bible teaches that "All Men Were Created Equal"! He never once said that "All Religions Teach the Same Important Message"! Nor that "All Cultures Promote All the Same Set of Moral Values"! Did Dr King ever once "Promote & Defend Sin like terrorism"? NO! Jesus didn't either! So why does obama defend muslims then? Did Dr King ever once tell us to to "Get Offended"? NO! Jesus didn't either! But muslims do! They disrespect DrKing's Dream!

  • The muslims disrespect DrKing's Dream! Now all we hear lies of "ISLAMOPHOBIA"! DrKing Never Said that! & muslims pervert DrKing's Dream! & dishonor DrKing with their lies! DrKing would be sad that Obama is helpin them too! News says now approx10% of all BlackAmericans are against Obama! What would drKing say? He'd want us to Pray to Jesus! Why doesnt Obama follow DrKings rolemodel? Pray to Jesus for God's will be done concernin these matters! We need a Christ-Like leaders like DrKing once more!

  • Hilarious!

  • thanks that is awsome you have a degree in linguistics!

  • lol

  • The real matter is whether dislike of Islam is a phobia (i.e. rational or not), and not whether 'Islamaphobia' is a recognised word or not. When people claim 'Islamaphobia is not a word', the recipients are assumed to have the intelligence to understand what is really meant, but clearly some lesser-intelligent people need to have this explained to them.

N.B. Diverting the argument to the validity of the actual word and not its meaning is an example of 'straw man fallacy'.

  • Neologisms are all made up the paleolithic people probably just OOh,AHH and eventually they all developed into a distinct pattern.... yet today when certain age groups(adults) create neologisms they are diagnosed as crazy... Personally I believe Neologisms should be encouraged as a disciplinary mind developer in regards to linguistics... Greek,German,Japanese and Latin, are good models for this exercise... : D

  • woot! :)

  • May God bless bro

Nice video, love people who satand up for what they believe.

  • I know where your coming from as all words in any language were made up, but what they mean is its not in any Dictionary therefore its not a legitimate word, hence the term its made up or strung together, a better description would be to say its slang, although even that is incorrect as slang means a secret language

  • It's actually a bit scary that some people refuse to accept islamophobia as a word...

I heard one person explaining to me that it's not a phobia (therefore the word does not exist and is a made up word), but a justified and not exaggerated fear for islam, so therefore it's not a phobia.... rofl... i laughed until i started to cry when i heard that.

  • Salaam, thanks for sharing your knwoledge, Peace be on you!

  • The true terrorists of our world do not meet at the docks at midnight or scream allahu akbar before some violent action. The true terrorists of our world wear 5000 dollar suits and work in highest position finance, government and business debate financial gain at the cost of everyone else, military domination and use the world as their chess board and run the multi national corporations.they never get their hands dirty and are rarely held accountable for the toll they take on the world...

  • Your insight is impressive and true!

  • Correct! agreed 100%!

  • ur still fat

  • Fetchez la vache........................

  • i got the oed from my father when he passed. well clearly its more than one book :)

do you have the brewers dictionary of phrase and fable?

    xoexo

  • I think I watched this one before, just may not have left a comment on it before. If I'm not mistaken, 80% of all english words are derived from the Latin language. They were essentially made up to sound like those it was derived from.

    Great video.

  • Haha I loved this vid. You tell em! XD Oh noes! "Word" is a made up word! Lets get rid of it! In fact, let's all shut up because every word were speaking is made up! hahaha

  • lmao-u r a joka-btw i am researching on islam-being an ex catholic, a present atheist, a lot of my unanswered qus r being answered-i thnk u should look into the religion too-prehaps u may find smthng tht u like.lol:)

  • hello again i feel after 9/11 alot of words came out maybe not so made up but words like terrorist which now refers to muslims and i think al qaida was made up for these people who didnt do anything just as 9/11 blamed on people who didnt do it. I like your videos bye

  • TY my friend may god bless you.

  • Funny, some English words are made up of french words, french words are made up of latin and from ancient greek. Islamophobia is a synonym of paranoia. And your hair are great...thanks

  • MERCI!!

  • No wonder you're such a natural in languages. It's a shame the Koreans have to make housing costs exaggeratedly high, and you have to be very rich. Gamsa!

  • i'm anti religion but yeah u make alot of sense... religious people just want to attack eachother by any means.. it's lame

  • is bundangofobia a word yet?

    or bearism? or english-ish?

    making up words is funissimo!

  • Marhaba!! SHUKRAAAAN!!!!!

  • You're the pride of our home town. We are all so proud of you back here in Upstate NY! You are a man of the world! Great vid! Very intelligent!

You are my hero. (I love languages, and am disturbed by the fear of other languages in general in the us.)

  • yeah people! get some good dictionaries and use them ;)... thats a very good flow you are giving out

every language was once made up by us human spiritual beings.

    peace

  • When I grow up, I want to be bundangbear.

  • So do I. Even though I'm older than him.

  • you believe in ufo?? :D

  • I believe there are elements out there we don't know about. The UFO sightings above 광화문 are what everyone's talking about in Seoul now. That was a week ago!

  • Sounds like you have a good dictionary, SSgtParmer! It's always a pleasure to get comments from you, my friend!

  • Well, no doubt informative, but also to long and repetitive. I guess that makes you an imperfect human being.

I think I speak for many when I say thanks for taking time out of your life to try to make the world a better place.

  • "Unimportant," you're right! Thanks, pal!

  • hey i just came across your videos and i actually enjoy them and all and im not trying to hate on you but do you wash your hair lol sorry if i seem a bit rude

  • I use "Dreadhead" brand shampoo for my dreadlocks. It costs 15 bucks a bottle. Since you do have an Immortal Technique vid in your faves, I will give you the benefit of the doubt. This time you get a pass, even though I clearly expressed that this vid is a linguistic discussion only. See how nice the Bear can be?

  • bundangbear, first off, perhaps you should have considered cutting this video down. it was 9 minutes and there was a lot of repetition.

i don't like the term "islamophobia" for the way you you use it. i don't think it is strong enough. i have heard you use it to describe hateful racism, not just "aversion". perhaps you should consider use of a different, stronger word.

  • I didn't find it long or repetitive at all!

I agree, we need a stronger term for these anti-Muslim, haters. However, I have always understood that phobia meant an irrational fear &/or HATRED. Bty, I have met several Muslims in my life, & each one has greatly impressed me with their personal character. They each would have made great friends, but alas(!), none could stay in my area for the long term! 8( They were great relationships, while they lasted. 8)

  • @tuberpie68 i hate islam, and i think islamofobia is a pretty nice word, it suits me :)

i dont agree with all the bullshit that islamofobs hate muslims, thats just ignorance, we hate islam but not the victims of islam.

The best way to realize that islam is a threat to the human race is to read the Quran, i really hope everyone reads it..

    Its a really weird book.

  • @JollSSteR You're very right; Islamophobia does suit you, & very well. But that's not the only mental problem that you have; your thinking isn't very logical, but that's one of the hallmarks of phobias. Reading the Koran is fine; I do it as well. But you would do better studying psychology & logic, & by making friends with the products of Islam & it's holy book---that is with Muslims, themselves.

  • @tuberpie68 Well played, sir.

  • @bundangbear Arigatou, noicniuhtli, Oso.

  • @tuberpie68 i do study psycology, i do use my logic, and i have plenty of muslim friends, it seems to me like we need a new word for people who judge others and think that they know everything about them from just ONE single message.

    We should call you, afraid-of-not-knowing.

    Yeah that suits you :)

    OWh, your reading the quran?

Thats great :D, i encurage everyone to read it.

  • @JollSSteR I meant that you should study psychology IN ORDER TO LEARN TO OVER COME YOUR OWN PHOBIA. I know that you use YOUR OWN logic. That's the problem. You need to learn a sound, rational logic, so you can understand the irrationality of your position & of the thinking that lead you to it, & so you can find your way to a sound logic, both for your own understanding & so you can communicate effectively with others, something that you're not doing here.. Right! You have Muslim friends [TBC]

  • @tuberpie68 You seem to be offended by the simple fact that i hate islam o.O i've never said that i dislike you, infact the opposite, all the blief most people put in god i put in humans, which allows me to atleast like all humans, i dont believe in god, i believe in humanity..

So i really dont understand what your talking about, my fear of islam isnt based on anything irrational, seriously just do some study of what the sharia law is, it violates human rights, therefor i hate it.

  • @JollSSteR when you say:"I hate islam," "We hate Islam," Muslims are "victims of islam," " islam is a threat to the human race" & the Koran is "a really weird book." You won't even properly capitalize the name of their religion. I'm sure you're up to you eyeballs with Muslim friends.Right!

  • @tuberpie68 Oh ok, i guess youll have to teach me instead of starting to giv those bad vibbs..

Be patient with others, youll communicate easier that way..

  • @JollSSteR I don't have time to teach you logic, or even to continue commenting here. Take a college course in logical thinking, & be sure to show the professor this statement: "You seem to be offended by the simple fact that i hate islam o.O"

" just do some study of what the sharia law is, it violates human rights, therefor i hate it." I hate human rights violations, too, but just because the violator blames it on something outside himself, I'm not going to hate that something. I know [TBC]

  • @tuberpie68 if your not willing to teach me the dont complain that i dont know logic..

Well, if you hate things that violates human rights then why dont you hate islam?

im starting to doubt that you have read the quran mate,

  • @JollSSteR What you refer to as "sharia" law is very diverse and varies from country to country. Look at Turkey and Tunisia, two secular countries that I've traveled in extensively. They are very liberal. Sure, there are extremist forms of Islam, but they are very small in number. You need to understand one thing: Muslims are not monolithic, and interpretations of the Koran differ.

And NO ONE believes you have Muslim friends. Cut the lies, capiche?

  • @bundangbear i dont see your point at all, what your saying doesnt change that islam fckes peoples minds up..

    i dont have muslim friends?

    Mohamed Abdalrham

    Moad Abdalrham

    Hamza Abdalrham

    Leif Abdarham

    Bayar Nihad

    Banar Nihad

i live in sweden, we got PLENTY of muslims here, if you watch my video: Legenden om shetland youll see a muslim that we dressed out as a girl, that would be Mohamed Abdarham.

i like muslims, but i hate islam..

  • @JollSSteR I don't believe you, and I'm not going to visit your channel. I don't need any more exposure to hate. Sorry. Remember, you came here spewing hate. Now, time to go!

  • @bundangbear i dont think you and i are on the same page mate.

i dont hate anyone, i just hate islam, just like i hate theft.

If you saw a muslim get treated like i am getting treated now for expressing his love towards islam you would be outraged, kindness has to go both ways.

Let me hate islam, sure we can argue if its logical or not but dont say im spreading hate when im clearly just expressing my opinion.

i dont know why i care, but i DO have muslim friends, -.-

  • @JollSSteR

Im a Muslim and I follow 100% of Islam. Islam teaches me to try to win the heart of those who are against Islam.

I hope God guides you and your whole family. I hope you have a comfortable life and I hope that God protects you and your family from dangerous deseases... peace :)

  • @MrPathanStyle Haha thank you, yeah i know islam teaches to convert as many as possible, even if it requires lying : /

So as long as your saying kind stuff in the name of islam i cant trust you, but i trust you anyways because your a human :P

  • @JollSSteR

Your statement is quite contradicting. Islam doesnt teach to convert as many as possible. Give me reference of the Quran or the Hadith, where have you got that from? There is no compulsion in religion says the Quran, read 2:256. Dont let the media think for you, you have got brains also...

  • @JollSSteR that it's the violator who is responsible for the crime. It's HE, not his excuse, that needs to be brought to justice. Btw, Sharia Law is not in the that book you read, the Koran, rather it's an interpretation of Islamic Law that right-wring extremists developed & attribute authority to. The vast majority of Muslims reject it.

  • Isn't "fuck" a made up word? We all know that English has borrowed heavily from other languages. That's the beauty of it, and part of the reason it continues to thrive.

  • Of course, ALL words are made up. "Fuck" has Teutonic (Early German) roots meaning to strike or to rub.

  • Doesn't it come from the word "ficken" (I heard that- I don't even know if the word exists)? I studied linguistics, but they never discussed etymology- it was all theory. It was a part of a TESOL program I took at ASU.

  • entomology...is that the study of insects? you know, some guy named a whole species of bugs after girls he liked...species being "chisme" (pronounced "kiss me") and genus, like, names...accordingly, "chisme sarah", "chisme rebecca", "chisme christine", etc. you get the point...made up words, indeed...P.S. kiss me, ayano...happy 31st.!!!

  • Very clever word play with etymology and entomology, pal. When's your vid coming out?

  • Actually, according to wikipedia, a fear/adversion to clowns is called coulrophobia.

  • Good points!

  • English truly is a garbled mess of pronunciations and letter arrangements. Everyone knows the true form of English would be the "old English" style which was done away with. However, many words in Old English version were derivatives from many other languages combined together. We should all speak Latin, lol.

  • I'd give you thumbs up, but I don't want to have to speak Latin!

  • nice vid honey. I not sure understand all, but you are soooo smart! luv ya,

    Yvonne

  • islamic and christianity are stupid and evils.

  • lol, you are "stupid and evils"

  • No! But the way you abuse the English Language is.

  • Intelligent, well thought out, and a whopping almost 10 minute vid! Well done, pal, and you speak entirely in linguistic terms.

  • yeah :D

  • 감사합니다, 나의 친구!

  • haha dude

an yong ha say yo, bundang bear, mada ba

    you rock man,

and i think i say that for all the koreans in the world lol

  • 감사합니다, 나의 친구!

  • Yeah, a lot of English words are "made up". That's why Koreans (and most non-native English speaking people) have such a hard time learning English. English words have roots in so many other languages (Old English/Anglo-Saxon, Celtic, Greek, Latin, French, German/Dutch, etc.)

  • Interesting reply, Tammy. I understand Old Frisian is closer to Old English than any other language.

  • I'll defer to your knowledge on that point. But I do remember how my frustrated students had such a difficult time pronouncing English words properly because for every rule, there was a word which broke the rule. Maybe that's why American schools have become so inferior to Asian schools. We have to spend so much brain power trying to figure out our convoluted language we don't have enough brain power for anything else. ; )

  • So true, Tammy. English may be relatively easy to learn, but "English is darned near impossible to master." --Mark Twain

  • Not to mention Lingos like Nahuatl, Yoruba, & Iroquois & a few words from lingos like Hawaiian, Vietnamese & aboriginal Australian lingos.
