  • I'm so sorry for your loss...thank you for posting.

  • I just heard this song and found this video... I wept and wept because I too lost my daughter about 8 years ago and it brought back so many of the memories good and bad, but mostly good. Wish I had heard it sooner... Thanks for sharing.

  • rickwich99... possibly like many others, I was drawn to this song that Mr. Springfield penned for your daughter, and wanted to learn the backstory to it. And now that I have, all that I can say is that my heart goes out to you and your family. I am sorry for your loss.

  • i watch this video at least once a day, i have ricks album for this song. beautiful lyrics.. such a beautiful girl. u r in my thoughts xx

  • Thanks for the video! Sahara was a friend of mine. i met here playing basketball for upward and we became pretty close, but our time together was cut a little short. she impacted my life pretty big. At 2:12 is a picture of her and my friend whitney who was also on the basketball team. THanks again for helping me remeber her!

  • Yes, she was 13 when she passed away on Nov. 5, 2007. Thank you for taking the time to watch. :)

  • i loved this song... then my bff told me wat it waz bout and i started crying... she said that she waz the same age as us... we r 15 now.. waz she really like 13 or 14 wen she passed???

  • i love this song but its so sad

  • I just read the story about Sahara in Rick Springfield's book and it made me ache - with happiness for what she was able to do in her short life and with sadness when envisioning what she could have done had she been allowed to stay longer. Maybe she had to leave sooner to teach us a lesson. Beautiful song Rick.

  • i love this song

  • The world is already a brighter place because of Sahara. Thank you for introducing the world to such a beautiful, smart, enlightening soul. Mom, you lived through the hardest task life can hand, giving something up, you wouldn't ever sacrifice. Thank you for sharing Sahara to the world. Hugs, kisses, and eternal LOVE.

  • I remember Rick talking about Sahara alot during his shows. Seeing these photos just proved that there are angels among us. I didn't know her, but I do remember when she passed away. I know that all of Rick Springfields fans who had followed her story cried. And we knew that she fought the good fight. But she had bigger things to do where she is now. She is an angel looking over the ones that she loved. Perhaps her purpose was to show us that life doesn't end with your final breath.

  • Beautiful song, beautiful child......RIP sweet angel

  • Remember that she lives on through your memories! Beautiful video, and she was a beautiful girl

  • What a Beautiful tribute

  • It is these perfectly normal moments that bring tears to my eyes...vacations, halloweens, first days of school. I can't imagine the sorrow you feel, yet also the happiness to have had her in your life. Thank you for sharing.

  • Oh, Amy....that was so beautiful! Thank you for sharing your personal memories and pictures with us.

Much love to you and Shannon...

  • ty agian she reminds of mine and she is still here i dont no what to say now

  • Rest in Peace Sahara. I just lost my mom to stomach cancer on September 4th of this year. Keep her company up there, OK?

  • Lovely tribute. As a Rick Springfield fan, I have followed Sahara's story via that avenue, but I did not know that the date of her passing was so close to the date of my own loss. My mother fought leukemia for 10 years, her battle ended on November 6, 2002. Bless you all.

  • My prayers and thoughts are with you. Rest in peace beautiful child, beautiful tribute . God bless

  • She was something. Really, really something.

  • Beautiful child is right! What a beautiful video love tribute to your darling brave girl. Thanks for sharing with us Amy. Song is gorgeous, like Sahara and the love shared with her parents is just perfect in this "montage" as my nieces would call it. She lived a lovely life, too short but much loved. Cat in hat pic is great! Hey St. Sahara, thinking of you, and sending St. Sahara's parents good thoughts. Thanks for that smile. Beautiful child, beautiful tribute!

  • What a lovely tribute. I loved the photos of her where she is playing soccer (I think) and at the beach. She must've completely cracked you up at times.

  • Very beautiful tribute. My thoughts and prayers are with the Aldridge family today.

  • Sahara Rocks In Heaven With The Angels!!

    God Bless Sahara!!!

We Love and Will Always Remember You!!!

    Jane & Enrique

  • Thanks Amy for sharing this with us. Sahara is in our hearts & God bless you and Shannon

  • RIP Sahara.....it feels like the world got to know a little part of you through this tribute.

  • RIP Sweet Sahara although i never got to meet you, I feel like you were part of my life. That was a beautiful tribute for a beautiful sweet girl who left this world way too soon. Prayers to her family this week and always.

  • What a beautiful tribute to Sahara! While watching it, I thought, even though her mission was short here on earth, you could tell her life was a "loved"one--she both "received" and "gave" love to those around. God bless you and your family as you cherish so many wonderful memories. --Andrea

  • No I am NOT going to cry. I am going to revel in what she brought to your world, and to others she shared her light with. Thanks for this Amy and Shannon. God bless you all!
