  • corrected again.sony vegas isn't second best.sony vegas and avid are second best.AAE is the best.

  • iMovie IS free, unless you're a dirty hackintosh user who pirated OS X...

  • iMovie is free when you buy a macbook...

  • @yrulaughing Really? Wow, we didnt know that, and... Nobody Cares.

  • @thesimlish60 Obviously the person who made this movie didn't know, cause they were spouting nonsense about it costing money or something... And I'd point out the irony of you commenting on how no one cares about my comment, but I'm pretty sure logic would be wasted on one such as yourself. Have a good day, sir.

  • 0:49 Dangerous Linux penquin O_O!

  • imovie is free, a mac can play games as well

  • @bren046 Macs have a limited library of games to play, since developers don't want to re-code their games to mac.

  • @bren046 a 247 dollar pc runs better than a 500 dollar mac.a 800 dollar pc destroys a 2500 mac.macs get viruses.macs are not as stable as linux, which is on pc as well.Hackers who make viruses,USE LINUX AND PORT THE VIRUSES.

  • R.I.P HEADPHONE USERS 0:45!!!!!!!

  • Nice duck

  • um... I believe ubuntu linux pwns all yall

  • damnit a mac is a pc

  • imovie is free on an apple desktop/laptop or a couple of bucks on iPad

  • i fail to see what point u are getting at here

  • you do realize that a useful mac is a mac with bootcamp?Oh,and that virus thing is bullshit.Windows is capable of blocking viruses too,its called LINUX.But then again both suck compared to windows xp and 7.

  • Mac costs £1000, £1 for the Mac itself, £999 for the iMovie...

  • PC suck

  • imovie isn't perfect but it is light years ahead of windows movie maker I have used them both and prefer iMovie

  • @rdsii64 Annnnd Sony Vegas still owns iMovie.

  • @RibaFish66 Apple owns iMovie. the Catch is that iMovie's actual creator is the same person who created Sony Vegas.

  • I liked the Linux interruption.

  • @giveitnowone that's why your mac costs £999

  • What it's not free? It came with my mac.

  • Imovie and Window movie maker are both shit.

  • @Unintelligenda

    True.

    Sony Vegas FTW.

  • he is from apple! thats the point they dont sell and put some videos on you tube!buy people mac it fix everything make your meal your coffee go for a walk have a bath and wil start! welldone its like almost linux when i try to play a hd video and crashed

  • iMovie is free!!!!!!!!

  • this is ignorant.sony vegas shits on apple and windows

  • @KashgroundTM You do realize that Sony Vegas and iMovie have the same creator

  • @rdsii64 you do realize that sony vegas is the best one?

  • @KashgroundTM Actually I have never used Sony Vegas. I can only compare iMovie to the other platforms that I have actually used.

  • @rdsii64 ive tried a shitload of programs.im not...shittin you.Sony vegas literally is THE best one.The worst one is windows movie maker.

  • windows movie maker is for beginners. sony vegas pro 11 is also for pc but for advanced users

  • @KashgroundTM I know right? Everybody's using Windows Movie Maker as "the best Windows' got".

  • @dEndiProductions meh.mac owners are seriously clueless.

  • @dEndiProductions meh.mac owners are seriously clueless.

  • @KashgroundTM Lol I try to explain to my pro-Mac friends that Windows Movie Maker is like a miniature demonstration of what you can code with Windows.

  • @dEndiProductions met people like that lol "mac is just better because mac is just better and less gay"

  • @KashgroundTM if only YOUR MOM COULD HEAR YOU SAY THAT SHE WOULD BE LIKE HUH I WAS ON HIM LAST NIGHT i showed her things a mac can only dream of she did'nt even shut me down after..... she just put me in sleep mode wat a night an yea i am a pc

  • @25sunnyd Lol i think macs suck but that was clever. It was honestly clever how you placed those words as replacements of (obvious) things involving (sex) or maybe the occasional(Riding the cock joke)...mhm.Heh,almost forgot about the (Insert your mother)jokes.

  • @KashgroundTM WMM sucks but atleast its free

  • @Pedr6500 Eh?i could give you the sony vegas one lol the files are copyable.(IF you were askin for a copy)

  • @KashgroundTM thanks for the offer but no thanks, just sayng

  • @Pedr6500 aiight lol

  • @KashgroundTM

got to put it close to after effects. I love to edit but i feel as if vegas is quite overpriced (torrented it). With after effects its a quality program and is only $150

  • @167lemon

After Effects should never be used as a video editor. Ever.

  • @MaestroDraven

You misinterpreted me. I meant that i love it to add effects to clips suck as twixtor, magic bullet etc

  • @167lemon

Ohhhhh, Ok. Yes, in that case you're right. I've just heard a few people say they use AE for video editing, and all I picture are sadists and gluttons for punishment :)

  • @KashgroundTM what about Avid?

  • @DjTheNobody anything other than wmm will keep a better version of your audio and video.

  • @KashgroundTM you said Sony Vegas is the best, isnt Avid better?

  • @DjTheNobody haven't heard of avid before.dont really intend to either lol cuz im a doubtful person

  • @KashgroundTM Avid is used for almost every movie you watch in the cinema,

    Like.. Iron Man 1 & 2.

  • @DjTheNobody oh really?i stand corrected then.sony vegas pro is the second best

  • Reason to buy a mac over a PC is for the OS, so why not save money and get a hackintosh?

  • @cheynasboyfriend except for the fact that it will be very slow.

  • @Demizide

Absolutely untrue. What you're referring to is paralleling an OS within another OS, which is not as slow as some make it out to be.

A Hackintosh machine is running OSX natively, therefore....no slowdown. In most cases there's an definite increase in speed thanks to superior hardware that Apple's Mac lineup simply can't come close to matching.

  • @MaestroDraven I've had several hackintoshes and it is slower because OSX was, and is, designed specifically for the components in a mac and nothing else.

  • @Demizide

That's absolutely false, and calls into question your claim of owning multiple Hackintoshes. We have already seen Hackintosh builds with overclocked i7 930 CPUs running at 4.2 GHz and offering amazing speed increases. Either you've owned a baseline Hackintosh which you didn't set up properly or.....no offense, you're lying.

    You can't fool me, sorry.

  • @MaestroDraven Don't get me wrong, you could build an hackintosh that is both cheaper and alot faster than a mac, but it won't be as fast as it would be without osx.

  • i think macs are ok, the only problems i have with it is that it is verry expensive and there adverised like their trolling you in the most biased and generic way "im a mac i have iLife,etc..", "im a pc i crash" but they dont point out that you can do alot of things with both, in the end i use macs at school because of mainly keynote and a PC at home with all my other games, random programming projects, and my server.

  • @MacDroidify My Windows dont need to run Mac...

  • iMovie is free and is much better than WMM(About 100000000000000x better!)

  • iLife comes free with every Mac....

  • @iphone3gtutsntweaks While it does come with every mac its price is figured into the price of every mac sold. It's still better than windows movie maker though

  • How do i Jailbreak my Mac?

  • @FukeU1248 Lol, your a retard!

  • @MacDroidify Sorry your mother and father are related. iMovie sucks baaaaad.

  • @FukeU1248 it actually very good at what it was ment to do. The only people who think it sucks are people whos video editing needs are more advanced that what iMovie was entended for.

  • I use to have a mac but the I took an arrow to the knee

  • iMovie is free... And besides, once you get Movie Maker running, you will get a BSOD, causing a system panic, which will erase your hard drive due to fear of a digital wizard living on it.

  • I use mac Lion and always had a awesome experience... It just works.. Few clicks and you are done with the I movie... Even though its not free it is worth the price.. Un captured Memories are lost... So every time you watch a video done in i movie you get the feel of that special moment..

This never happen with me on windows movie maker..

  • @amar1986ish So you compare a paid programm and freeware ?! You can buy excellent video editors for Windows too ?! So there is nothing "special" on Mac's or "I Movie"..

  • I already have mac, but i thounght about diffrent computers with linux. While I looked for new computer then I saw something weird, 12" or 13" laptops with optical drive are much expensive than 15", I want mobile laptop and 15" isnt comfortable for that.. But anyway with this requirements that was cheap solution... But I think next time I will buy normal PC

  • @PsycoSymatik for games I have PS3 and for work as graphic and web programmer, mac is better for me;) on this OS I have enought applications witch running fine, and I have stability platform. console is bad if u want some difficult games like startegy, but for Mac u have few good gams too ;)

PS.2 cutting compatibility is very annoying in Mac, but I think there is few reason for that, example is battery life.

Mobility and optical drive I must often go to customers, and burn CDs

  • hi Mac I'm PC my system (Windows 7) getting much more energy (less battery life) using more rams, unstable file system, low secury and bad permissions system, kernel cant support 64 and 32 bits applications etc ...

  • @apaczpl1

Actually a 64bit kernel can support 32bit applications, it just shits itself on DOS games or windows millenium games.

Have you tried running a progrma made for OS8 on an OSX box?

It wont run. Have you written a program for windows and had it run without issues on ~95% of all installations then had to write 4 different versions for MAC because of compatability issues between OS lion and OS leopard for example?

  • @apaczpl1 MAC's are shit for compatability, they are secure because nothing works.

Windows is cheaper, less secure but simpler to design programs for.

Both systems have their flaws, both can argue a case, MACs = work computers where security is needed, windows is for gaming. Their is no competition there.

  • @PsycoSymatik If you want security, why don't you go with Ubuntu? I'll admit it's difficult to download anything that's not in the Ubuntu store, but the stuff that isn't there, isn't available for mac anyway. On top of that, it's all free.

Lots of people immediately say "ewwwww the nerds' OS," but who in there right mind wouldn't want an army of nerds upgrading their software all the time?

  • @jag9998

I do use linux, i have a seperate partition for windows 7 when i need to use the SDK's (when wine isnt enough). Its secure, it runs more stuff than a MAC, and it has a far better windows emulator + more capability.

A mac is pretty much a crippled linux.. with a few speed stickers stuck on to hide the scratches..

  • @PsycoSymatik My Mac can run Windows!! ;D

  • cost ilife+mac os x = cost Windows 7 home prenium

    ....

  • @apaczpl1 PC price * 1.3 = Mac price with exact hardware

  • @paopao28tv

    only 1.3 times more expensive?

When did the price go down?

  • Final cut is on macs yeah.

Might as well get it on pc though because the total price will be cheaper

  • Lol I love that linux shot. God damn.

  • Hey mac, i have been playing some games...

    Uh, which games?

    ALL OF THEM!

  • Windows uses Guys

    Mac Uses Gays

  • Haxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx!

  • Nice video. Enjoyed it very much.

  • iMovie is free and is more effective than Movie maker. If you really want to do movies, filming and editing then Final Cut Pro is your option, guess what, it runs on a Mac!

  • I just want someone to come out and say Mac can do XYZ when PC cannot do that same XYZ! I dare you. no wait I double dare you!

here is something PC can do and Mac cannot: GAMING! that is a big deal u know why? because there is a huge market for gaming so no matter what you say it is a huge factor. most teenagers and young adults are playing video games so again its got a very big group of potential buyers and money investors. PC is the platform, sells more and therefore superior

  • ryobi penguin.

  • Guys we should all just stop fighting and face it.......linux sucks;)

  • iMovie is free.

    Macs can play games.

Movie maker is for 3 year olds.

    And your gay.

  • @TheMacAppleMac Macs are bad. You can't upgrade them, the os sucks, it can't play many games, its under powered, its overpriced, etc.

  • @TheMacAppleMac 3 year old kids dont care about an editing software, therefore its not for 3 year olds, Windows movie maker is free aswell, although i havent been able to try iMovie, i was more than satisfied when i had Windows movie maker.

Oh and one more thing... *You're gay.

  • @TheMacAppleMac Lolololol "macs can play games" dude youd have to go ATLEAST over $2000 to play a game! Meanwhile Im playing all the new high end games on my $500 laptop sucka!! Oh and I checked yesterday noticed that my $500 15inch Asus is better than the 15" Mac Book Pro which costs $1850. Thats hella SAD man. haha Have fun with that!

  • @FreeForAllGamerz

also live movie maker isn't much better. If you want to do some proffessional looking videos, buy a software or use Lightworks Pro. A year ago it become open source, and its way better then wmm.

  • lol, windows movie maker xD

thats for 9 year old kiddies..

  • movie maker sucks cow anus.

  • @CRYOmine what sucks cow anus is paying an extra $1000 for worse hardware. How you like that cow anus? Tasty?

  • @CRYOmine Pirate vegas.

  • @Kingddd333 i was about to say that

  • @Kingddd333 i already have vegas, lol.

  • @CRYOmine then mac sucks my lactating nipples

  • @CRYOmine

i agree but if i wanted to buy something decent i wouldnt buy imovie i would save up for something more advanced

  • @CRYOmine iMovie isnt all that much better....

  • @delzirockz yeah actually it is.

  • @f

  • @CRYOmine Yeah right, and your mom is a woman.

  • Windows 7 $200+.

    Mac Osx Lion $30

  • @mux9000

True. Now tack on $700 dollars extra for the Apple premium on hardware, and all of a sudden that $200 for Windows (OEM versions cost $130) doesn't seem so bad.

  • @mux9000 You mean to tell me that the tightly knitted rectums at Apple actually sell their OS to anyone to put on any computer? Of is that 30 dollars just for the update after letting Apple ream you in the first place. Just think, with that 200 dollar Windows 7 load, you can put it on any machine you want, including a Mac, if you want to install Mac Osx (who would actually do that?) it is going to be on Mac hardware and only Mac hardware. Unless of course you are using Hackintosh.

  • @mux9000

They can only sell it for 30$ because

a.) It's actually just the update.

b.) They rip you off at other ends. They wouldn't take just 30$ if they allowed it to run on any system.

  • dont mac's already have imovie built in?

And Mac's improved there video graphics card so its all good, right?

  • @DevonHunter2112

They haven't improved their video cards very much. iMacs utilize mobile graphics cards, which are significantly less powerful than their desktop brethren. Apple has taken steps, but........unfortunately they're baby steps. As for iMovie, that all depends if you want to make amateur videos, or professional ones. You won't achieve pro with iMovie.

  • @MaestroDraven its just that i want a good laptop that can handle media editing, and to just play some games with good quality, cause in TF2 theirs this weird graphics bug and i tried everything to fix it and nothing ;(, not to mention a laptop with a strong fire wall like all mac devices.

  • @DevonHunter2112

Then it will surprise you to know that Macs are the easiest computers in the world to hack. In fact, most rootkits, macroviruses, trojans and malware don't even require ROOT access to Mac OSX, making them virtually undetectable even by remote activation. That means someone can be stealing your credit card info and phishing you, and you'd never know it.

As for media editing, any laptop can handle novice-level stuff. A Macbook can't handle heavy stuff.

  • ......HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAX

  • LoLz, look at all the arguments

  • Guys....I have both...they Mac's have a better operating system...however windows give you more specs...they both have pros and cons...i love my windows and i love my mac...

  • @henryk8675309

I fail to see what makes OSX better. It's low on compatibility, subject to frequent bouts of lag (source: CNET), disturbingly insecure and exploitable (source: Pwn2own) and limited in scope and vision. I don't have a beef with OSX per say, but it's merely a UNIX-compliant OS with basic functions that have been given a glossy coat of paint (ie: Time Machine). Apple sells gimmicks. Remember OpenCL and GCD? Neither does anyone else.

  • @MaestroDraven I fail to see your point? Your sources are wrong? In fact my specs are slightly lower on my mac (minus the upgraded RAM) than on my PC and it still has notably less lag, freezes (can't remember the last time it froze), or crashes (never crashed). Even Bill Gates understands this hahaha. In Mac you pay for an operating system that absolutely knows Windows to the ground. Thats why my 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 can blow a PC with higher specs out of the water.

  • @henryk8675309

You're comparing your system to your other system in an uncontrolled, inexperienced environment. There's no telling what you've done to your system. My sources aren't wrong, but you can feel absolutely free to check them if you so please. I very much hate to burst your bubble, but the specs you mentioned are NOT going to blow a PC with higher specs out of the water. I suggest you rely on third-party comparisons as opposed to those you've conducted at home.

  • @MaestroDraven Oh and as for low compatibility? Ummm I can be a source for you on that...I can get any program you have on your PC on mine. ANY. Its a program called Parallels? Not to mention I can run all MAC only programs...soo actually I can get more apps, programs, and software than you can ;)

  • @henryk8675309

Parallels is wonderful. I can do the same thing (and I am), on a PC with OSX, so I have just as much access as you do. Trouble is, your hardware will start to sputter at high end pipelining, rendering and intense graphical workloads, whereas mine won't. Try rendering a 60 second Trapcode Form render with 500 x 500 particles on the X and Y axis and 250 on the Z-axis, and see who comes out on top. I guarantee your Mac won't win.

  • @henryk8675309 better os? in what way really? expensive gimmiks and stuffs?

  • @frieddayfriday Better operating system? That doesn't need explaining. Why do you think people make hackintoshs?

  • @henryk8675309 well i have both too.they both have their pros & cons or whatever too many to mention and i dont see why mac is better. i use them both all the time @ work, my computer business, travel, home but i only game on pc. i never really had problems with my pcs as long as i take good care of them even with vista. i still have 1 pc at home running vista ultimate 64 and still up and running flawlessly but not as fast as my other win7 pc. but yeah mac is solid but not better.

  • Game systems are for gaming

  • imovie is free, with a mac...

  • linux penguin @00:48 :))

  • But imovie came with my mac :/ Anyways PC is where i do some of my gaming like the sims and stuff like that. and the ps3 is where i do my driving games like GT5 or shooters. The mac is where i make my videos, either for family or friends.

  • I like pc's to be honest mostly for cheap easy modification. I build them really as a hobby. Even then I prefer to run linux on them, Personally, I feel Windows as a program, and it's licensing is a ripoff and I feel Id be a sucker if I purchase it. So I don't because I am certainly not a sucker. So for me the argument is mostly software based. At least OSx is cheap. The hardware is pricey.... but ill give it one thing, it works. Now the PC i build works but i get to hand pick the hardware

  • So, the thing I get from this video is.... if games aren't your thing ( which they aren't for me mostly ) Then Im not interested in PC. The problem with these types of arguments, ( fundamentally the same problem with the original "im a pc add" ) Is it pigeonholes one function. When Windows and Apple PC's are both capable of several functions. These mac vs pc adds might be some of the worst adds in the history of adds.

  • try adobe premiere for PC. (for video eidting)

  • @rarevideosandfilms Adobe premiere is great.... I jump between it and final cut depending on my mood.

  • @Coldmystery excellent. Yeah I have been using premiere 6.0 for a long time. and I have an old version of photoshop (5.0 I think) that works really great. They are very expensive to buy new versions.

  • imovie is automaticly on the computer!

  • Is the sims or something?

  • Below arguments proved how retarded Mac users are. They are enamored with that garbage.

  • I have the freedom to call iDiots as such. You on the other hand, like restrictions and rules. No wonder you like Mac

  • Looooove the truth

  • I love Mac, but Paint is awesome!!!

  • Well windows movie maker sucks. I movie is WAYY better then windows movie maker.

  • @SFBloodBrother Why?

  • @mozdonny I don't know. I used windows movie maker for like 10 minutes, and it did not have anything I needed.

  • @SFBloodBrother Or you just did not find the stuff you were looking for.

  • @SFBloodBrother Except, as the video says, Movie Maker is actually free, &, well, I don't think I would pay money just for a video editor. Besides, even if I didn't care about price, I'd just get Sony Vegas...

  • linux lol 0:48

  • haaaaaaaaaaaccccckkkkks!

  • Hell yuh go pc's

  • iMovie is free because it comes with every mac.

And Apple Macs looks awesome, and PC not!

  • @apcorom My mac is soooooo shiny... wait I can't do shit.

  • @CaptainBill22 My Mac or PC that is on my desk, does not need that space like a PC Tower that needs space under your desk. I do not tell that PC are bad, that are for gaming almost everyone will agree with that.

I had PC for years, and do not regret that I bought a Mac for work.

Think about it, a Mac is a PC too that does not take so much space on your desk and it is energy efficient.

Buy a PC (500€ + Display 24" 200-300€ + Keyboard+Mouse+Software) You pay the same price, but you did not see it!

  • @apcorom err no, when you go to build a computer, all those things are all included in on the shipping manifest, so the cost is exactly what you see.

  • Comment removed

  • @apcorom wow thats wrong dude the new macbook pros come with the i7, why is Apple charging over 800$ for the i7, when I can go get an i7 on newegg for 600 ALONE?

and the way I know this is because you can get two different macbook pros, ones with intel dual cores, i5's and what not, and then you can get the i7, and the price skyrockets

  • @KyuubiNaruto1337XD okay sure. the macbook pros cost a lot, but wait a minute the other notebooks looks like shit. Sorry but the design of a product is important. I have to work on a book or a pc or mac the whole year, or even longer. Have 2 years pc and pc laptops and I hated them, because Windows sucks and they look like shit.

It is not only about the price, it is about the design a notebook have to look like and Apple designs are beautiful the other just copy it, because they don't get it!

  • @apcorom seriously? you would rather choose looks, which is basically what other's impression will be made upon you, over internal hardware?

  • @KyuubiNaruto1337XD Thats a good point, but wait what is on your desk or under it a PC tower with a flatscreen display on your desk with a mouse and keyboard that are cabled. Thats the point, your desk is not organized and my is with my iMac, because i prefer the looks and the all in one solution over the clunky and odd PC. I realized that when I had to work the whole day on a machine, when you create something with your imagination than you will understand. PC is for gaming and thats the point!

  • @apcorom gaming isn't the only thing I can do, I can do all of the stereotypical office requirements that I need, including running a server or network, I can edit and program videos with Sony Vegas pro 8 or go even simpler as to use Windows Movie Maker.

I can do anything a mac can, I can allocate partitions to support a new OS like linux or even Mac OS if I wanted to.

  • @KyuubiNaruto1337XD Thats a good point, but I prefer MAC now. Used Windows 7 and own a Windows 7 partition on my Mac when I need to. I am creating drawings, images and fantasy storys. Yeah I can do it on a Windows 7 or a PC too, but not in that professional and easy to use and perfect way as on the Mac.

So I prefer a Mac to do this, because it turns my imagination on, Windows PC does not do it, it can but it not work for me.

It is your choice to use PC as my choice is to use Mac. I respect that.

  • @apcorom <<<sample of a retard pretending to be a professional.

  • @apcorom No point on arguing with Apple morons bro.

  • @MrBrutus101 PC geeks like you will never understand.

So yeah you are right, stick to your Windows 7 PC/Book and let my choice be my choice. I stick to the mac.

  • @apcorom Yeah stick with your Mac.... and look like a douchebag,

  • @MrBrutus101 Stick with your PC.... and keep your viruses

  • @SpeedAndSlowKing You suck doushbag.
