@Girl2591 actually it doesn't. i mean the movies don't really have anything in common appart from mermaids appearing. the girls in h2o turned into mermaids by accident, and they turn back to humans when they are dry. plus they have these special powers. the mermaids in this movie don't have powers and they are mermaids all the time.
