It's a tricky business to handle the balance between authoritarian and democratic. By adopting some sort of authoritarian system, China could soon catch up the world by cutting the waste of time on tons of democratic procedures, given the leaders are worth trusting. By adopting some sort of democratic system, China could soon lose its momentum by whirling in the pools of internal struggle of power, and soon become a second-rate country. Southeast Asia countries are the examples of the latter.

China WILL become a world economic and military power. My question is, can it do so by having a one-party state? I mean, are we reverting back to past imperialistic countries who only had one party running the government? (Germany = Nazi; Party Soviet Union = Communist Party).

With AC's the USN is able to invade and occupy smaller third-world countries(achieve air dominance over enemy airspace).
BTY, I'm aware of the Chinese claim of able to target AC's and hit them with BM's, but I'm still a skeptic, and the Indian's have a much better strategy of using Ant-ship Cruise Missiles to counter USN presence in around their waters. Besides, the U.S.(those claiming to be from the US mil) have stated that any attack on its carrier(s) from BM's would be replied by N-weapons.

China built its first nuclear sub in 1971 whereas india still cant up to now. All india's weapons are bought from other countries that means you dont have capable war-time replenishment. India is an easy target for China. If China is determined, i think it takes less than a week to occupy the entire india, seriuosly.
