The shop I worked on had only two of these units. we used mainly the VR-2000B units, much more reliable. Our machine were always kept CLEAN, never had any tape bits at all. In order for a person to be able to edit, you must first LEARN how the machine functions from top to bottom. And remember the editing was done by PHYSICAL splicing.:) Digital people have no clue as to what we had to do to get a tape to play.
If I may ask. I have a video mixer which seems to have badly corroded contacts to the boards. However they are multi-pin connectors so the female end is hard to reach. What would you recommend?
even if, most probably, I'll never have the opportunity to see such a complex machine with my eyes, I must say you've been doing such a great job! 5stars!
