wondering on how the gun cycles so fast. did u modify the action or trigger. or are u pulling that fast. id be thinking the pull of the fast finger would outdue the action??
Thanks for a great review and even more thanks for NOT having all of the annoying music all of the other reviewrs seem to think it is a must. It's like having a nicely tuned exhaust on a Harley, you don't need music.
@pfidude do you think that the ERGO grip is a more comfortable or better grip than the hogue grip? have you had any experience with it? the saw grip seems a bit cheap.
Nice review and testing. I just picked one up on Friday. I would like to get some custom work done. I will check out the site you mentioned. What rounds do you recommend for this gun? I think they should be a high velocity round, correct? Anthony.
Is this compatible with all am parts? (not internal) and if you got the gas job would it be hard on the gun to shoot slugs after that? And how much is the gas job.

Have you guys ever cut a barrel under 18" and then permanently attached a muzzle device to get the required, non-NFA length? It's obviously pretty common with rifles, but I've never seen it done with a shotgun.
I am looking for the Saiga !2 gauge to add to my collection. I like the Chaos Warthog muzzle break. I prefer the second Saiga shown - The Singleton version. Thanks for the video. Gives me an idea of what to look for.
All (.223,7.26,.308,12ga,16ga,410ga) can take a hi-cap mag,but it is specifically built for saigas only. Sure fire makes the best ones,pro-mag is garbage.
And I do believe that a saiga can be modified to take standard AK mags, but I'd let a gunsmith do that for you.
Hey PFI, if you shot a stock saiga enough, would it eventually break in a shoot lighter loads? do you need to get it worked over if you want the light stuff to perform?
@StandingOnGuard Thanks for watching. The targets don't last very long, usually shred and fall off after just a few rounds. Shoulder always feels great after a good day running shotties;)
Hey PFI idk if you know how hard it was to install the UTG rail on the Saiga thinking of saving up for on to toss on my Saiga. Great video I just picked it up a Saiga and I cannot wait to shoot it.
@Paulieman64 I know exactly how hard it is....I built all of the Saigas that you see in my vids;) The UTG is not too hard to install, but getting it to sit straight can be a little tricky.
@Paulieman64 I remember you having a Saiga .308 rifle on Nutn's vid...I am in the market for one in either 7.62x39, or .223. Which would you recommend? Also, what is the business with the magazines...Can they not take hi cap? Or, do I need to go to a gunsmith...People have been talking about pro-mags, and surefire...thank you for your time..Any info would be helpful. Awesome vids.
@JameR242 Only used Limbsavers a few times, and they work pretty well. Only drawback is that they sometimes contribute to failures when you are right on the verge of cycling low power ammo (they obsorb some of the energy). B
@hogspen3 More Saigas;) We are constantly working to fill customer orders for the custom Saiga shotguns and rifles. I also have an AK Bull Pup project, and some trigger jobs on the bench. Just need time to get them all done. B
@TNPviewer I founded PFI and was the only original instructor. I currently still teach many of the classes we offer, but due to the time required to run Firearmspro and keep up with vids, TNP, and other commitments, I have had to fall on our other great instructors to keep it going. I will have our complete new course schedule posted online tonight. Great classes coming up.
@thehammerglock17 Absolutely, let me know what you want to do and I can get you an estimate. There should be some pics of a Saiga .308 on my gallery page.
@supermaucat at the start of one of our shotgun classes, we take a full chicken (grocery style, not alive) and get all the students together. We talk about safety and how the shotgun is one of the most deadly and dangerous close quarters weapons, then point blank the chicken.....Students are commonly heard saying...."remember the chicken" anytime safety concerns are expressed.... Great time!
wow.. Very nice tools right there Mr. PFIdude. Nice trigger action there too sir. Sounded like full auto even though it's only semi. Your wife must love that trigger finger...
Also... Leave the sunglasses on. You don't look like... well... you without them.
@PFIDude I think the mi bolts to each other from what I read. How comfortable on your hand is the MNT-HG465? Can you quote me a price for the MNT-HG465? Send me a PM if you don't want to post it. These come with rail covers too yes? Thanks!
