Notice that at 0:21, Tito says "It's better than the fuzzy end of a loli-pop". That line is nowhere to be found in the movie. I only saw the 1996 re-release, so I have no idea if that line was part of the original release, or if it was removed before the release.
Fun movie! i saw this back in 1988 when i was 7 years old 3 times with the last one being after christmas day. I had some merchandise such as the soundtrack (Got that for christmas that year), PJs, coloring books, a junior novel, a readalong book with cassette, PVC sears toys, Mcdonalds happy meal finger puppets, Mcdonalds ornuments, a shirt, stuffed Oliver and that kind of thing. I grew up with Billy Joel and Huey Lewis, my parents never forgotten Why Should i Worry.
I always used to watch this when I was little and im watching it now on the internet classic and the songs i brought them all off itunes! I've just realised I sound so sad, ha!
Me too one of my top 15 disney movies and definetely remember by 80's children but too bad it took a long ass time to get to video because i remembered going to the video stores when i was 8 and 9 asking if Oliver and Company would come out on video and nothing, i wanted it and it never came out on video for 7 years but had my merchandise for memories then it finally came back to theaters at age 14 and enjoyed it then bought it on video for my movie and disney collection
I always liked this movie when I was little, but now that I'm older, I am a bit over it. Would have been much better if they had left out the generic Dog Gang. But the music is amazing!

I know it never came on VHS ? Because of its Financial success at the box office then it came on VHS in 1996 because of its re-release

I have a copy of "Oliver and Company". I got that for Christmas in 1996. I had that "Oliver and Company" video for eleven years.

Did this commercial appear during an episode of The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh?
carlitosbug 4 years ago
nope. I'd have to search my tapes to find it.
mitzmandave 4 years ago
But what about during Hey Vern, It's Ernest!, Garfield and Friends, or a Season 5 episode of Muppet Babies?
