6:01 When we advised dropping everything – right away - when slimed, we meant weapons, too: you’ve lost your fing & ammo. 11:13 When you shed gear, the armor is saved; at end of mission, it’s fully restored. 18:58 Wonderful bonus animation: very imaginative & spot on. Oops – yes, slimed, & you were understandably distracted. Good thing not flying armor. 26:20 You’re right: can’t recover UFOs in alien land.

The only thing that part at 18:00 needed was a sepia filter and a grainy old-film effect :P

@maxi150 I would've added it but the software I use doesn't support such filters. I didn't have the time to export it uncompressed and then edit in another software. But yes, that was my original idea...

@MetalCanyon The extra, home-made animation was great fun! It looked very professional, to me. I think you picked a great moment, with all the extra explosions.  And it's a great way to feel less bad about losing all that alien gear.

Boy, Pieloadedshotgun made the first 18 minutes of this video a nightmare for me xD I was like "Oh sh*t I'm going to die in this one, noooo :(" then I saw that hilarious Fallout-y explanation that calmed me. Then, it seemed I did like Corporal Hicks, when he blasts the alien head with a shotgun, and acid drips all over his chest armor. "TAKEITOFFREALFASTBEFOREITMELT­SME". Anyway, I loved the video. Plus we finally gave them a real first kick in the nuts, in payback for all our fallen comrades !!!

Also, you just explained why i prefer some sky fight at this point, it kinda sucks when a single boomeroid causes the explosion of your entire team...especially if you are in the team.

I can't wait to have a fellow Retaliator pilot with me, too bad he just missed some nice action!!!

@MetalCanyon Entropy slime can be sneaky. I have to really keep my eyes pealed, and scanning all my agents. Even then, I have to save frequently to save flying armor (especially) sometimes. Oh, and when we say "Drop everything - right away!" we mean EVERYTHING including weapons. You lost a fing and ammo, the first time. And so long as it's not caught in an explosion, everything is refreshed & ready to go, at end of mission.

@Pastshelfdate If you watch the video VERY carefully, you can see a muffin explode, take down the KethamBodds' shields and a millisecond after that, an entropy rocket from the exploded entropy pod hits him. Talk about being unlucky!

SSSquirel takes a shot and his shield is lost. he looks around and thinks no one noticed. he figures that the mysterious force guiding him into enemy fire will provide him with a new shield and all is well :D

@huntercd Heh heh - SSSquirrel is such a squirrelly squirrel. :D The Shield Bunny will drop a shield! Actually, you can use shields recovered in the field, though they are likely to need some recharging time.

@Pastshelfdate To be honest, I should be dropping depleted shields just before they get destroyed - that way, if no explosives land nearby, I could still salvage them.
