Most kids my age think that this is crap or boring or stupid, but i can sit there and listen to the same song for hours and enjoy myself. really? his stuff is good. among 16 yr olds in Japan they love anything associated with the movies that his music has been found in. It reminds me of my days in Japan up until the tragic end when the tsunami happened. my heart skipped a beat for the first time in my life seeing that image, and realising that I was in danger, and that a tragedy has just happened.

the first one, Hana, is the kanji for flower

@KND362 Wow, pretty much feeling the same here. I'm only 16 and this, right after summer, is my favorite piece from him. I've been listening to his music for quite some time now, and it still gives me chills just like the first time I heard him.

@KND362 i experience the same thing! (I'm 11 though) I tested something that when I listen to Joe Hisaishi my piano playing is better,my drawing is better and my grades get higher! i swear try it! and the rest of the kids our age can just suck up their justin bieber and heavy metal, HISAISHI IS THE BEST!

I come from punk rock and J-Rock, but I love to take my time and appreciate such a beautiful piece.

@KND362 You say you are 'only' 16 I'm 16 too, and I totally agree with your post I hate that the majority of people listen to tasteless music. But why use the word only? It's degrading, me bein extremely young for my year in school I'll be qualifying my final year of High school at the ags of 17 and two months. Don't say 'only' agge doesn't matter in this life friend

@KND362 Seriously, it's not unusual to be 16 and to like this kind of music around that age. Just because of kids being influenced by the dominant pop culture around you, that's not even an argument. I mean, there are so many people younger and they enjoy this too. It's cheap to come up with age to base one's music taste.
That's why people keep on prejudice because those who allegedly complain are the subtle causes.

really? his stuff is good. among 16 yr olds in Japan they love anything associated with the movies that his music has been found in. It reminds me of my days in Japan up until the tragic end when the tsunami happened. my heart skipped a beat for the first time in my life seeing that image, and realising that I was in danger, and that a tragedy has just happened.
