Incredible story. He cut an artery in his neck meaning he had 1 and a half mins to live. He knew this so dived into the crowd away from the TV cameras so his mum didnt have to watch him die. Luckily he happened to fall into the arms of an es-Vietnam army medic who was used to gunshot wounds that were similar to this so he managed to literally stick two fingers down his throat and pinch the artery. His still alive today

Whats really incredible though is how after that he still plays the sport.

I was cut in the neck by a skate once. The blood spilled to the ice and froze into a sharp disc that I picked up and threw at the guy who cut me. It killed him. I tied my jugular in a knot and finished the game.
